Cap assembly for a medication container
The medication container includes a receptacle that has an inner space for holding medications. The cap assembly is coupled with the receptacle for retaining the medications in the inner space. The cap assembly includes at least one passage that can be selectively opened and closed and includes at least one medication sensor that is configured to detect any medications travelling through the passage and out of the receptacle in a contactless manner. A microprocessor is in electrical communication with the at least one medication sensor and with a memory. The microprocessor is configured to record data to the memory in response to the at least one medication sensor detecting a medication travelling through the passage. A wireless module is in electrical communication with the microprocessor for uploading the data to an external device.
CAP DEVICE, CONTAINER ASSEMBLY PROVIDED WITH CAP DEVICE, AND LOCKING DEVICE THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a container assembly including a container body for accommodating contents and a cap device detachably installed on the container body, and the cap device includes a first coupling part detachably coupled to the container body and a pass-through device through which the contents accommodated in the container body pass. The cap device includes a holder on which the first coupling part is formed and a cap body including the pass-through device, the holder includes a cylindrical inner wall and a bottom part extending from a bottom of the cylindrical inner wall along an outer circumference thereof, and the first coupling part is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical inner wall and screw-coupled to the neck part.
CANISTER FOR PHARMACEUTICAL DISPENSING MACHINE AND DIVERTER KIT FOR SAME
A canister for an automated pharmacy packaging machine includes: a base; a rotary member positioned in the base; a sleeve mounted to the base having a cavity; a diverter mounted to the sleeve and extending into the cavity, the diverter having a leading edge; and a cover mounted to the sleeve. The diverter is oriented at an oblique angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the sleeve.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING TABLETS
A tablet dispensing system comprises a sleeve having a first opening at a first end and a second opening at a second end, a base attached to the second end, the base including a first barrier disposed transversely to and a predetermined distance from the second opening, and a slide having second and third barriers separated by a riser, wherein the second and third barriers include aligned passages disposed therethrough. The slide is disposed on the base so that the first barrier is positioned between the second and third barriers and the slide is biased by a spring toward a first side of the sleeve so that the first barrier blocks at least one of the aligned passages, where the spring is disposed between the base and the slide.
DISPENSING DEVICE
The invention relates to a dispensing device for metering and dispensing a predetermined number of multiparticulates from a container. The dispensing device comprises a chamber which includes an inlet through which multiparticulates can enter the chamber and an overflow through which multiparticulates can leave the chamber. There is also an outlet through which multiparticulates can be dispensed from the chamber. The chamber comprises a metering surface which includes at least one retaining portion. The, or each, of the retaining portions is configured to be able to releasably retain a single multiparticulate.
Selectively Openable Closure for a Container
A closure for a container, and more specifically a closure that is selectively openable and/or lockable providing, for example, one or more child resistant opening features is disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INDIRECTLY DETERMINING THE DISPENSING OF MEDICATION FROM A CONTAINER
A body is configured to accept a medication container in a container cavity defined therein. The body may approximate a half-cylinder with the container disposed in the concavity, and held in place with flexure tabs or other restraints. A force sensor is disposed on the interior of the body in communication with the container cavity and container. Dispensing force applied to the container from the body side do not reach the container to dispense medication; dispensing force applied from the open side do, and also cause the container to press against the force sensor. This indirect, transmitted force is detected with the force sensor, and the force data is evaluated in a processor. In response to the force data corresponding with dispensing medication, the processor registers a medication event, such as by storing the event, displaying the event, or communicating the event to a third party.
MEDICATION DISPENSING SYSTEM
Disclosed is a secured medication dispensing system having a container body and a cap with a slatted attachment. A proprietary key sleeve is used to remove the cap from the container body. An elastic friction band may be used to allow facilitated opening and closing of the container.
