Dispensing device

The invention relates to a dispensing device for metering and dispensing a predetermined number of multiparticulates from a container. The dispensing device comprises a chamber which includes an inlet through which multiparticulates can enter the chamber and an overflow through which multiparticulates can leave the chamber. There is also an outlet through which multiparticulates can be dispensed from the chamber. The chamber comprises a metering surface which includes at least one retaining portion. The, or each, of the retaining portions is configured to be able to releasably retain a single multiparticulate.

Grasping container lid and applications thereof

A container lid with a finger entry section, a thumb entry section, a grasping section, and a mating section. The finger entry section includes a finger opening for receiving at least one finger of a hand. The thumb entry section includes a thumb opening for receiving a thumb of the hand. The grasping section is coupled to the finger entry section and the thumb entry section. The grasping section functions to grasp an item when compressed via the finger entry section and the thumb entry section and collectively prevent the finger(s) and the thumb from making direct contact with the item. The mating section is coupled to the finger entry section, the thumb entry section, and/or the grasping section and functions to mate the container lid with a container body.

A tablet dispensing system comprises a sleeve having a first opening at a first end and a second opening at a second end, a base attached to the second end, the base including a first barrier disposed transversely to and a predetermined distance from the second opening, and a slide having second and third barriers separated by a riser, wherein the second and third barriers include aligned passages disposed therethrough. The slide is disposed on the base so that the first barrier is positioned between the second and third barriers and the slide is biased by a spring toward a first side of the sleeve so that the first barrier blocks at least one of the aligned passages, where the spring is disposed between the base and the slide.

The invention provides an assembly for dispensing portioned amounts of materials from a container, while keeping the undispensed portions stored within the container, and displaying the dispensed portions for consumption. The cap assembly includes a body member which can reversibly engage the container, and a cap member that transfers predetermined volumes of articles from the interior of a container to a serving vessel that is accessible by an individual consumer, while leaving the remainder of the articles within the container and unavailable to a consumer. The relative position of the body and cap members block or unblock a passageway for dispensing articles through a mouth of the container. The cap member can be used multiple times to dispense additional volumes of articles from the container as desired.

Dispenser

A dispenser for dispensing product that includes a dispenser body having first and second interior sections, a lid, and a release mechanism. Product in the first interior section passes through an opening in the second interior portion and into an inner channel for dispensing. The inner channel includes a prong that prevent product from reverting back to the first interior section. The lid includes a lip that, when the dispenser is closed, creates a seal about the inner channel. When the dispenser is to be opened, the user may activate the release mechanism, which includes an upper portion and an activation portion. The user inwardly presses the release activation portion, which deflects or bends a portion of the inner channel away from the lip. The user may also downwardly press on the release mechanism to release the upper portion from engagement with the lip and the sidewall.

The consumable resource includes one or more of a dissolvable solid and a miscible liquid. The indicator physically changes position with respect to the container to indicate the amount of consumption of the consumable resource when the container is in an environment that causes the consumable resource to be consumed.
