A slot is defined in the back side of each bin housing through which the lottery tickets are dispensed from the internal space, and a separation device is adjacent the slot. A calibration field is located relative to the slot such that the lottery tickets pass alongside the calibration filed in a travel path of the lottery tickets through the slot. An optical scanner is disposed internal to the housing at a location to read the marks in calibration field. Based on a position of a forward edge of a ticket in the calibration field, a control system determines an adjustment to a predefined length of the leading ticket to advance in a subsequent dispense cycle.

An electronic drive mechanism in the housing moves the tickets in a forward and reverse direction. A scanner is disposed within the housing at a location to detect a forward edge of a leading lottery ticket in the housing. A controller is in communication with the scanner and the electronic drive mechanism and controls the drive mechanism so that subsequent to the leading lottery ticket being dispensed out the slot, power is supplied to drive mechanism to generate a retarding reverse direction torque by a drive roller on an adjacent lottery ticket for a predetermined time period without reversing direction of the drive roller.

A lottery ticket dispenser bin includes a housing for receipt of a supply of interconnected lottery tickets. An electronic drive mechanism in the housing moves the tickets in a forward and reverse direction. A scanner is disposed within the housing at a location to detect a forward edge of a leading lottery ticket in the housing. A controller is in communication with the scanner and the electronic drive mechanism and controls the drive mechanism so that subsequent to the leading lottery ticket being dispensed out the slot, power is supplied to drive mechanism to generate a retarding reverse direction torque by a drive roller on an adjacent lottery ticket for a predetermined time period without reversing direction of the drive roller.

A lottery ticket dispenser array includes a plurality of separate ticket bins, wherein each bin defined by a housing that defines an internal space for receipt of a supply of interconnected lottery tickets. Each bin has an electronic drive mechanism that dispenses the lottery tickets therefrom. A slot is defined in the back side of each bin housing through which the lottery tickets are dispensed from the internal space. An upper tear bar is configured adjacent an upper side of the slot, and a lower tear bar is configured adjacent a lower side of the slot. Once a lottery ticket is dispensed by the drive mechanism through the slot, the ticket is separated by pulling the lottery ticket upward against the upper tear bar or downward against the lower tear bar.

A lottery ticket dispenser array includes a plurality of separate bins, with each bin defined by a housing having a defined first internal space for receipt of a supply of interconnected lottery tickets. Each bin has an electronic ticket drive mechanism and a scanner disposed to read a sequential number code as the lottery tickets are dispensed from the bin. A control system is in communication with each scanner. Each bin includes a first electronic display at a front side thereof. The control system is configured for receipt of a scan signal from the scanner and, at the end of a ticket dispense cycle, to determine the lottery ticket number of a next lottery ticket to be dispensed from the bin and to transmit the next lottery number to the first electronic display.

A lottery ticket dispenser array includes a plurality of separate bins, with each bin defined by a housing having a defined first internal space for receipt of a supply of interconnected lottery tickets. Each bin has an electronic ticket drive mechanism and a scanner disposed to read a sequential number code as the lottery tickets are dispensed from the bin. A control system is in communication with each scanner. Each bin includes a first electronic display at a front side thereof. The control system is configured for receipt of a scan signal from the scanner and, at the end of a ticket dispense cycle, to determine the lottery ticket number of a next lottery ticket to be dispensed from the bin and to transmit the next lottery number to the first electronic display.

A method includes forming a card having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a decal removably attached to the bottom surface, the decal including a first unique identifier. The method also includes removably attaching a bottom surface of a token to the top surface of the card, the bottom surface of the token including a second unique identifier operable to provide access to a digital gift. The method further includes removing the decal from the card, attaching the decal to a base of packaging configured to retain the token and the card, and disposing the card and the token within the packaging such that at least the token is removably retained by the packaging and the second unique identifier is inaccessible.
