A strike recording punching bag assembly includes a striking pad that is positionable at a beneficial location for striking training for receiving strikes from a trainee. A striking panel is positioned within the striking pad and the striking panel has a plurality of depressions therein. A plurality of pressure sensors is each of the pressure sensors is integrated into the striking pad to sense pressure from strikes delivered to the striking pad. Additionally, each of the pressure sensors is positioned in a respective depression. A transmitter is integrated into the striking pad and the transmitter is in communication with each of the pressure sensors. The transmitter is in wireless communication with an extrinsic electronic device wherein the transmitter is configured to facilitate the extrinsic electronic device to display the pressure sensed by the pressure sensors for enhancing feedback to the trainee.

The present invention is a martial arts training apparatus that includes a first mat having an opening, a second mat having an opening and a pair of handles pivotally mounted to opposite sides of the first mat. At the base of the handles are lateral extensions used to secure the first and second mats together in mating relation to secure a target between the first and second mat openings. In an unlocked position, the handles extend laterally from the sides of the first mat. In a locked position, the handles are pivoted to a position substantially perpendicular to a front side of the first mat. The handle extensions engage a back side of the second mat to lock the first and second mats together.

Apparatus is provided for training people in technique and tactics for use in wrestling and other combat sports. The apparatus presented comprises a rigid and elastic frame, padding, low-friction feet or runners, and a platform for another user or weights, to add mass and resistance for the user training with the apparatus. A user may use the apparatus to practice penetration techniques, agility, and strength while training in free motion. The apparatus leads the user to use her or his body weight, the weight of the apparatus, and optionally added weight, in training while on matted surfaces, providing a better training experience and practice than prior art training devices. The present invention solves problems with the currently available means and apparatuses of practicing penetration techniques and tactics.

A punching bag kit includes a suspension line, a target having a fastening mechanism for suspending the target from the suspension line in a manner allowing the target to move along the suspension line, and a blocker positioned on the suspension line at a configurable distance from the target. The blocker is frictionally held in place on the suspension line at the configurable distance. Movement of the target along the suspension line is restricted upon the fastening mechanism of the target impacting the blocker. The blocker is physically larger than the fastening mechanism thus impeding travel of the fastening mechanism along the suspension line past the blocker. The blocker may have holes through which the suspension line passes, and a spring-loaded friction device may be mounted on the suspension line between two holes. The suspension line may travel around a user in plurality of segments suspending one or more targets.
