A method and kit for custom fitting an article of footwear is disclosed. A container holding the article of footwear includes a steaming apparatus that allows a customer to subject the article of footwear to steam. The article of footwear is placed within the steaming apparatus to subject the article of footwear to steam. The method can include cooling the article of footwear on the customer's foot to custom fit the article of footwear.

A shoe storage container apparatus for storing shoes between a furniture piece and a floor surface includes a housing comprising a base and a perimeter wall, in which the perimeter wall is coupled to and extends upwardly from the base. The perimeter wall bounds a compartment and includes a front wall, a rear wall, a first lateral wall, and a second lateral wall. An upper edge of the perimeter wall forms an opening to the compartment. A plurality of dividers is removably coupled to the housing and is selectively positioned to segment the compartment into a plurality of sub-compartments.

A retail product assembly includes a combination display chip and gift bag. A gift bag is folded into a generally flat configuration with a plurality of adjacent layers and is used as a replacement for a cardboard chip. Retail articles, such as a pair of slippers, are attached to the folded gift bag for display at a retail market. When a consumer purchases the pair of slippers, the slippers may be detached from the folded gift bag, and inserted into an interior of the gift bag, once unfolded and opened. A computer system generates information describing authenticity and a grade of a collectible scanned by a scanning device. A feature vector is extracted from the information. The feature vector includes a first set of features and a second set of features. The first set of features is matched to authenticity profiles of collectible items. Each authenticity profile characterizes at least one collectible item across multiple features. A confidence score is generated with respect to the authenticity of the collectible based on the authenticity profiles. The second set of features is matched to grade profiles of the collectible items. A grade score describing the grade of the collectible is generated based on the grade profiles. The grade of the collectible is determined based on the grade score. A graphical representation of the grade and the confidence score is transmitted to a display device.

A system and method for replacing a component of footwear. The system and method may involve manufacturing the footwear, and providing registration information on the footwear or a container for the footwear, or both. The registration information may enable a consumer to connect to a server assessable interface and collection of information from the consumer with respect to a type of footwear purchased. The consumer may be provided a replacement component that is substantially similar to a component initially provided at the time of manufacture.
