Label for modified atmosphere packaging

Maintenance of conditions optimal to perishable materials within a package during shipment will prolong the lifetime of the goods for shipment. The present invention provides a system for mitigating spoilage of perishable materials. The system comprises a container defining a compartment for storage of perishable materials, the container further defining an opening for providing communication between the compartment and an outside environment. A film cooperates with the container to seal the opening of the container and control flow of gas and water vapor transfer between the compartment and the outside environment.

Provided is a production method for a freshness-keeping bag capable of reducing the inflow of oxygen from the outside of the bag to a very low level, and thereby keeping the freshness of a content thereof for a long period of time. The present invention provides a method for producing a freshness-keeping bag formed of a film, wherein the freshness-keeping bag has a band-shaped joining region in which two ends of the film are overlapped and joined together, the joining region comprising a plurality of joined parts in which the two ends of the film are joined together, and a non-joined part which is located between adjacent ones of the joined parts and in which the overlapped ends of the film are not joined together, the non-joined part composing a non-linear ventilation passage communicating between an internal space of the bag and the outside of the bag, the method comprising the step of forming the joined parts by ultrasonic welding, wherein the step of forming the joined parts includes continuously forming the joined parts in the film, while rotating a disk-shaped ultrasonic welding anvil with respect to the film, wherein the ultrasonic welding anvil has a plurality of protrusions formed on an outer periphery thereof continuously at given intervals and correspondingly to the configuration of the joined parts of the bag.

A stem bayonet clip having a compression portion with opposing main body portions movable with respect to one another; which may include one or more compression ribs provided on interior surfaces of the opposing main body portions; a locking mechanism provided about an edge portion of the opposing main body portions, the locking mechanism being configured to retain a compressive force applied to a stem of a floral element inserted between the opposing main body portions; and a bayonet portion configured to be inserted into floral foam or similar material. The stem bayonet clip configured to grip the stem portion of a flower while the bayonet portion holds the flower in place (in floral foam) as part of a flower arrangement.

Floating grid arrangement to support and position decorative elements

Plastic grid or framework arrangements are used to support and position of bowls that hold flower arrangements, candles, letters, and other decorative elements. These grids are deployable in water fountains, indoor and outdoor pools, and other small bodies of water during festive occasions or for longer term decorative display. The grid themselves do not float, and are positioned below the surface of the water, and thus are not readily visible. Buoyancy is provided at the hubs that form nodes in the grids. The hubs also support floating bowls containing various decorative elements. The resulting effect is that the various decorative elements appear to be floating on the surface while the sub-surface grid structure maintains their relative positioning, keeping the bowls from clumping together at the edges or in the corners of the pool or fountain.
