PACKAGING FOR SHIPPING PLANTS
A cardboard container for shipping a potted plant is provided. The cardboard container includes a first cardboard blank bent to shape to form a pot tray. The pot tray includes a floor for supporting a plant pot, and a plurality of walls extending upward from the floor and at least partially surrounding the plant pot, wherein the walls are bent to cover at least a portion of an upper surface of the plant pot. One or more rails are beneath the floor. A second cardboard blank is bent to shape to form an outside box surrounding the potted plant and the first cardboard blank for shipment thereof, wherein the one or more rails contacts a lower surface of the outside box such that the floor and the plant pot are elevated from the lower surface of the outside box.
SYSTEM TO PACKAGE AND TRANSPORT FRESH CUT PRODUCE
A system for packaging and transporting produce is disclosed. The system includes a cup-shaped base having a bottom with side walls extending upward therefrom to a top rim, the bottom having an outer, substantially flat surface and an inner surface opposite the outer surface, and the inner surface and side walls forming an inner space. The system may further include within the inner space one of soil, an absorbent non-organic material or chlorinated water with additives. The system also includes a substantially dome-shaped top configured to rest upon and mate with the top rim. Methods and devices for packaging and transporting produce are also disclosed
Floral packaging method and apparatus
An apparatus and method for the protection and transportation of floral arrangements are shown. The apparatus includes a container defining a central volume. A tray is included for the suspending of a floral arrangement within the central volume. A decorative base is configured to surround a portion of the flowers. An insert is in communication with the container and configured to cradle a portion of the decorative base so as to restrict movement. The floral arrangement is tied or coupled to a portion of the tray. An optional temperature regulating device may be inserted to assist in maintaining the freshness of the floral arrangement.
Device for packing cut flowers, and bucket and plate for use in such device
A device for packing cut flowers incorporating a bucket for use as a bottom part, and further incorporating a sleeve-shaped top part. The bucket incorporates a peripheral channel that is open at a top side for receiving and retaining a bottom portion of the top part, wherein the peripheral channel projects outwardly with respect to a standing wall of the bucket, and wherein the bucket incorporates a filler piece arranged underneath the peripheral channel and connecting up to both a bottom of the peripheral channel and a portion of the standing wall as present underneath the peripheral channel. Due to the presence of the filler piece on the bucket, channels of adjacent buckets being part of stacks containing buckets positioned alongside each other are prevented from meshing together.
AUTO-LATCHING MULTI-FLEX STORAGE POUCH WITH ENHANCED MOISTURE CONTROL
The present invention is directed to novel products designed for both convenient personal storage and transport of botanical materials that offer transport convenience as well as addressing concerns over storage freshness. The storage pouches of the present invention maintain an improved freshness seal by establishing a moisture control edge when the storage pouch is sealed in a closed position. In particular, the auto-latching multi-flex storage pouches provide storage for botanical materials with enhanced moisture control, utilizing this moisture control edge.
Double-walled articles for receiving decorative filler materials
Double-walled decorative articles such as flower vases and candle holders comprise an inner form defining a receptacle and an outer form, spaced apart from the inner form, to create a cavity. A bottom opening in the outer form enables decorative filler materials to be introduced to the cavity such that the decorative materials do not enter into the receptacle, which may contains flowers, water, candles, hot wax or other substances. A removably replaceable plug or cap is used to close off the bottom opening following the introduction of the decorative filler materials. The inner and outer forms may be provided as a unitary item or separate pieces may be joined. The decorative filler materials may be provided in conjunction with the article as part of a kit, in which case the amount of filler material is matched to the volume of the cavity.
PLANT TRANSPORTATION APPARATUS
A plant transportation apparatus enables the shipment of multiple plants such as flowers in a single container. The plants are held in place by a cap. It is contemplated that the apparatus could move small or large quantities of plants.
INSULATED FLOWER VESSEL DEVICE AND METHOD
An insulated flower vessel includes a conical-cylindrical outer body having a first-closed-bottom configured to be terminated at a top rim with a conical-cylindrical inner body having a second-closed-bottom defining an internal volume. The conical-cylindrical outer body and the conical-cylindrical inner body are integral with one another and are configured to have a volumetric insulating space between the conical-cylindrical outer body and the conical-cylindrical inner body such that insulation means can be realized to resist heat movement into and out of said insulated flower vessel. The insulated flower vessel is useful for extending longevity of the fresh cut flowers.
Container, assembly, set, and kit of parts
The invention relates to a container for cut flowers, the container being nestable, the container comprising a container body which at an upper region is provided with a channel-shaped sleeve holder for holding a protective sleeve arranged to protect cut flowers. The channel-shaped sleeve holder is open at its top. Further, the channel-shaped sleeve holder has an outer channel wall. The container further comprises at least one anti-interlocking flange extending downwardly from the channel-shaped sleeve holder. The anti-interlocking flange, or at least a bottom section of the anti-interlocking flange, is staggered with respect to the outer channel wall, or at least a top section of the outer channel wall.
Humidity-stabilizing device for dried leafy material and herbs
A humidity-stabilizing device for tobaccos or dried herbs that can be attached to the interior of a lid of a container to control relative humidity in the container. The device is a sealable container with internal compartments which are divided by a moisture-permeable barrier. The compartments separately hold moisture-absorbent material and humidity-stabilizing silica gel beads that together maintain the relative humidity of the container by action of evaporation and absorption. Because evaporate rather than water is employed in the humidification process, tap water rather than distilled water can be used to wet the moisture-absorbent material.
