Cylindrical Semi-Trailer
A cylindrical cargo container is formed of longitudinal, extruded arcuate panels joined pairwise at abutting edges to form a cylindrical tube. The container is mountable on a separate wheeled chassis to form a semi-trailer or railcar, or a chassis integral with a truck. The container may be substantially smooth on inner and outer surfaces, to provide optimal aerodynamics and freedom of motion of cargo within the container. The panels may have inner and outer skins bridged by multiple webs. Such structure may provide protection from punctures to the outer or inner skins. The container is useful to transport waste including municipal or industrial waste, and may be part of a tipper trailer. The container, trailer, truck, or railcar may be used with a compactor for compacting the waste within the container.
Cylindrical Cargo Container Construction
A method of manufacturing a cylindrical cargo container includes: providing a plurality of rigid panels together formable into a cylindrical shell; forming a first semi-cylindrical shell from a first set of the panels; forming a second semi-cylindrical shell from a second set of the panels; forming the cylindrical shell from the first semi-cylindrical shell and the second semi-cylindrical shell; forming a collar conformably encircling the cylindrical shell; constricting the collar to compress joints formed at abutting edges of pairs of adjacent panels; rolling the cylindrical shell and collar to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to a lower position, and welding an inside seam of the joint when at the lower position; removing the collar from the cylindrical shell; and rolling the cylindrical shell to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to an upper position, and welding an outside of the joint when at the upper position.

Aircraft Water Tank and Method for Manufacturing Same
An aircraft water tank includes a conical surface of a skirt portion and a conical surface of an inner liner attached together using an adhesive, with an identical adhesive used in forming a fiber-reinforced resin layer on the inner liner via a filament winding method. When attaching with the adhesive, the adhesive is expelled at the outer circumferential edge of the skirt portion from between the conical surface of the skirt portion and the conical surface of the inner liner. Reinforcement fibers are applied on top of the protruding adhesive, and the adhesive impregnates into the reinforcement fibers. The protruding adhesive and the reinforcement fibers form a reinforcing member which connects a uniform stress surface of the skirt portion to a uniform stress surface of the inner liner located radially outward of the skirt portion.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A SLEEVE REINFORCED SUBSEA PRESSURE VESSEL
A subsea vessel includes an outer layer of non-corrosive material and an inner layer of high-strength material that both corroborate in a subsea environment to withstand external pressure and prevent corrosion. The subsea vessel further includes a cavity surrounded by the inner layer and outer layer for providing storage in and protection from the subsea environment. The cavity is accessible via an opening that extends through the inner layer and the outer layer. The opening can be opened and closed with a cooperating cap that impermeably seals the cavity. The cap may include a number or connection mechanisms for being selectively secured to the opening. In addition, the cap may include a portion formed of a high-strength material and a portion formed of a non-corrosive material.
