An intermodal container comprising: a bottom frame; a first side end wall configured to slide into a first side of the bottom frame, the first side end wall is height adjustable with respect to the bottom frame; a second side end wall configured to slide into a second side of the bottom frame, the second side opposite of the first side, the second side end wall is height adjustable with respect to the bottom frame; a first vertical limiting member configured to attach to the top of the first side end wall and the second side end wall; where the intermodal container is configured to store, transport, and secure items; and where the first vertical limiting member is configured to limit items from moving in a vertical direction.

The metal work box also includes a plurality of side walls secured to and extending upwardly from the base. The plurality of side walls include a front first side wall formed along a front first edge of the base, a back second side wall formed along a rear second edge of the base, a left third side wall formed along a left side third edge of the base, and right fourth side wall formed along a right side fourth edge of the base. A door is formed along the front first side wall. The door includes a door panel having a free edge and a hinged edge, the hinged edge being pivotally secured to a front hinge side wall portion of the front first side wall so as to enable easy access to contents. A shipping container includes: a bottom plate onto which cargo is to be placed, columns vertically extending from the bottom plate, and top plates detachably supported by the columns. Since the top plates are detachable from the columns, it is possible to smoothly load long objects into the shipping container from above the container, by removing the top plates in advance. When the loading is completed, the top plates are attached back to the columns again to reinforce the columns, thereby ensuring the strength of the shipping container as a whole. A plurality of these shipping containers can therefore be stacked one on another in a container ship, in the same manner as ordinary shipping containers.

A container for storing and transporting materials includes a container body having a generally rectangular configuration with bottom and side walls and a front and rear end defining an inner chamber. A generally rectangular ramp wall is pivotably connected with the container body adjacent the front end. The ramp wall pivots about at least one of a horizontal and vertical axis to provide pivotal movement of the ramp wall between closed and open positions, respectively. The ramp wall further has a height that is less than, equal to or greater than a height of at least one of the side walls and a width which is generally equal to a width of the container body. Preferably, the container further comprises at least one front end door that is pivotably connected with the container body to provide access to the inner chamber via the front end.
