Apparatus and Methods to Assist in Proper Footwork and Training
Devices and methods are provided for use in athletic training. The devices can be used to maintain appropriate distance between feet and or knees during athletic training. Additionally, the devices can be used in physical therapy for injury and surgery recovery; rehab as a result of stroke or other acute injury or illness; and/or geriatric usage for strengthening muscles, balance or coordination to improve mobility or balance and general health.
ADJUSTABLE EYEWEAR RESTRAINTS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An adjustable eyewear restraint comprises a first strap having a first adjustment end and a first eyewear coupling end, and a second strap having a second adjustment end and a second eyewear coupling end. The straps are slidably and frictionally engageable to one another to allow adjustment of a length of the restraint by moving adjustment ends of the straps relative to each other. The straps can be slidably interwoven to each other about opening(s) of respective adjustment ends. The opening(s) slidably receive an opposing strap. A strap has a loop, coupleable to eyewear, that comprises first and second edges attached together to form an attachment portion substantially in-line with the first edge. A frictional element is frictionally and slidably coupleable to an earpiece to retain the loop and allow adjustment of a length of an eyewear retainer. Associated systems and methods are provided.
Athletic activity user experience and environment
User activity including both athletic activity (e.g., running, walking, etc.) and non-athletic activity (shopping, reading articles, etc.) may be monitored and tracked by an athletic monitoring and tracking device and service. The user activity may be used to award a user with an amount of virtual currency to encourage the user to continue various activities. In one example, users may use the virtual currency to purchase or otherwise acquire various products, services, discounts and the like. A user may track an amount currency earned and/or needed relative to an amount required to acquire a desired product or service. Additionally or alternatively, a visual appearance of a user device (e.g., a watch or athletic activity band) may change based on the user's activity level, an amount of virtual currency earned and the like.
Swimming assistance mechanism
The present invention relates to a swimming assistance mechanism and, more specifically, to a swimming assistance mechanism that is attached to the arms and increases a propulsion effect by increasing resistance against water via an action like that of the fins of a fish when paddling with the arms for propulsion, so as to assist in enabling easier swimming. The swimming assistance mechanism of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a main body fixed between the palm and the elbow; and a fin foldably installed on the outer surface of the main body.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COORDINATING MUSCULOSKELETAL AND CARDIOVASCULAR OR CEREBROVASCULAR HEMODYNAMICS
Described herein are methods for determining a target musculoskeletal activity cycle (MSKC) to cardiac cycle (CC) timing relationship. The method may include detecting a signal responsive to a cyclically-varying arterial blood flow at a location on a head of a user; providing a recurrent prompt at a frequency of the heart pump cycle using the signal, such that the signal correlates with a magnitude of blood flow adjacent to the location, and the recurrent prompt is provided to guide the user to time performance of a component of a rhythmic musculoskeletal activity with the recurrent prompt; and guiding the user to adjust a timing of the component of the rhythmic musculoskeletal activity to substantially maximize a magnitude of the signal. In some embodiments, the method further includes generating the recurrent prompt by amplifying the sound generated by the blood flow in or in proximity to an ear of the user.
BLOCKCHAIN
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a transceiver coupled to a processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.

Water flow control device for swimming training
Disclosed is a water flow control device for swimming training that includes a swimming training device and a main water inlet pipe and a main water outlet pipe. The swimming training device includes at least a swimming pump. The main water inlet pipe and the main water outlet pipe are connected with the swimming pump. The water inlet of the main water inlet pipe is communicated with a swimming pool and a water outlet of the main water outlet pipe is connected with a jet nozzle. A filter device includes at least a filter pump, a filter sterilization device. A filter water inlet pipe and a filter water outlet pipe are connected with the filter pump. The filter water inlet pipe is communicated with the swimming pool through the filter sterilization device and the filter water outlet pipe communicated with the main water inlet pipe.
Timing apparatus
A timing apparatus for an aquatic timing system includes a rigid and planar primary portion, a flange portion extending at an angle from the primary portion, a vibration sensor coupled with the flange portion, and a controller. The vibration sensor is operable to detect a touch event occurring on the primary portion and respond to the touch event by generating a signal. The controller is in communication with the vibration sensor and is configured to receive the signal from the vibration sensor and identify a touch event from the signal. The vibration sensor may be operable to detect the touch event by detecting a vibration on the flange portion that originated from the touch event on the primary portion.
ATHLETIC TIMING DEVICE
A timing device is provided herein. The timing device includes a housing defining an aperture in a surface thereof. An elongated member is extendable from the housing. A wheel is attached to an interior surface of the housing. An encoder is operably coupled to the wheel and is configured to calculate a rotational velocity of the wheel. A controller is configured to calculate a linear velocity of the elongated member based on the rotational velocity of the wheel.
