A CONTROL MODULE, AND A CONTROL ARRANGEMENT FOR A MILKING PLANT
20220000064 · 2022-01-06 ·

A control arrangement and a control module for a milking position for milking a dairy animal includes a casing forming an inner space enclosing a printed circuit board incorporating a control system for controlling and supervising at least some functions of the milking position. A communication area is provided on a front side of the printed circuit board and communicates with the control system. The casing includes an inner front plate. The front side of the printed circuit board is attached to a rear side of the inner front plate by a transparent adhering substance so that a part of the printed circuit board projects from the rear side of the inner front plate. The inner front plate permits access to the communication area. The part of the printed circuit board is embedded in a block of plastic material.

METHOD FOR MILKING, MILKING SYSTEM THEREFOR AND MILKING STALL WITH SUCH A MILKING SYSTEM

A method and device for milking using a milking system with a control unit and an adjustable stimulator, including stimulating for a stimulus time and subsequently milking a dairy animal, measuring and evaluating the milk flow profile in order to determine if the milk flow profile is bimodal. If it is, then the control unit automatically adjusts the stimulating operation by extending the stimulating operation by an extension value. If it is not, then the control unit may, optionally automatically, shorten the stimulating operation. As a result, the milking system is able to reduce the strain on the teats caused by unnecessary stimulation or by milking in an efficient way during a bimodal part of the milking operation and also to adjust this during the entire lactation, if necessary. In this way, changes in the dairy animal itself are also compensated for.

An automatic milking system including an electronic control unit, a milking station, a production milk tank, a second milk tank, an animal identification system, a first sensor to measure at least one indicator of illness of an animal, a data memory in which measurements are gathered. The control unit configured to register a first point of time at which milk from an animal is diverted to the second tank instead of being conducted to the production milk tank, register a second point of time at which milk from the animal is shifted from being conducted to the second tank to being conducted to the production milk tank, and, when the time period between the first point of time and the second point of time is within a predetermined number days, the control unit determines that the animal is in an illness state.

A milking apparatus operational tolerance monitoring system includes a milk collection apparatus for milking cattle including a plurality of components. A monitoring and warning system is in communication with the milk collection apparatus to detect proper functioning of the components. At least some of the components include a detector capable of reading a measurement that is characteristic of that component. An interface is in communication with a processor and the detectors to provide an alert when one of the measurements is outside of a standard parameter for that measurement. The alert is an audible and/or visual alert and indicates which component is associated with the measurement that is outside of its standard parameter.
