A modular portable storage container system includes a storage container having first and second sections. The first section defines a first partial volume of storage space and the second section defines a second partial volume of storage space. The system further includes a lock mechanism with a lock arm, lock handle, and pivot shaft defining an axis of rotation. The lock arm and handle are fixed for common rotation with the pivot shaft. The arm extends radially outward from the pivot shaft to a roller assembly. A lock track is disposed within the second section and extends from a fluted open portion to a closed end, with a continuous track portion disposed therebetween. The first and second sections are movable between at least closed and open positions. In the closed position, the roller assembly engages with the lock track and retains the first section in contact with the second portion.

Roll-off bin with clamshell lid

A lid assembly for a rectilinear bin includes two lid panels independently movably mounted to the bin such that when the lid assembly is in a fully-closed position, inner longitudinal edges of the panels abut each other so as to give the closed lid assembly an arched configuration. In the open position, each lid panel lies vertically along the exterior of a corresponding bin sidewall. Each lid panel is movable along tracks provided in the bin structure longitudinally outboard of the lid assembly by means of track wheels provided at each end of the panel's inner longitudinal edge. Each lid panel is movable between its open and closed positions by means of actuating arms each pivotably mounted at one end to the panel's outer longitudinal edge, and rigidly mounted at the other end to a rotatable horizontal lid actuation shaft mounted on the exterior of a corresponding bin sidewall.

SEQUENCING BULK MATERIAL CONTAINERS FOR CONTINUOUS MATERIAL USAGE

In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, systems and methods for sequencing portable containers of bulk material to provide continuous bulk material usage at an outlet are provided. The disclosed sequencing techniques may involve identifying a sequence for opening different portable containers of bulk material (or identifying the next portable container to open) and automatically actuating the discharge gates of the portable containers in the desired sequence to provide a continuous flow of bulk material to the outlet (e.g., blender unit). The identified sequence may be executed through a control system communicatively coupled to actuators used to open/close the discharge gates of the portable bulk material containers. A GUI may be communicatively coupled to the control system to allow an operator to select the desired sequence for execution by the control system and to display information regarding the portable bulk material containers.

Valve and Method For Flow Control of Large Hard Particle Dry Materials
20200240527 · 2020-07-30 ·

A valve and method for flow control of dry materials comprising large hard particles. Providing clearance at the valve seat of at least slightly greater than the nominal diameter of the hard particles prevents capture of the hard particles between closing parts of the valve, which can damage the valve due to the hardness of the particle material. Clearance space as defined unexpectedly does not allow the particles to pass through when the valve closure member is positioned across the valve seat in a closed position.

Method and apparatus for raising a floating roof disposed in a storage tank

Method and apparatus for raising a floating roof included in a storage tank whereby a first and a first opposite force are applied between a floor in the storage tank and an internal surface of the floating roof. An additional set of forces are also provided and are constrained according to the first and first opposite force, not only in magnitude, but in position. By constraining these forces to be applied orthogonally to the floating roof, horizontal shear forces can be resisted thus reducing the likelihood of failure of a cribbing unit. By increasing these forces, the roof is raised.
