Container Closure Assembly With Pressure Seal
The invention provides a container closure assembly comprising: a container neck (10) having side walls defining an opening at one end thereof and a lip (14) extending around the opening; a cap (12) for said neck, the cap having a base portion (22) and a threaded skirt portion (24); a first screw thread (16) on the neck; a second screw thread (26) on an inner surface of the threaded skirt of the cap; said first and second screw threads being configured to enable a user to secure, remove and resecure the cap into a sealing position on the neck by rotation of the cap on the neck; a sealing plug (52) extending from said base portion of the cap inside and substantially concentric with said threaded skirt portion of the cap, wherein the sealing plug is an olive sealing plug for forming a seal against an inside surface of the container neck when the cap is secured on the container neck; and a sealing skirt (54) extending from said base portion of the cap intermediate said sealing plug and said threaded skirt portion of the cap and substantially concentric with said sealing plug and said threaded skirt portion of the cap, wherein said cap can be displaced towards said neck from said sealing position by application of an axial force without rotation of the cap on the neck and substantially without plastic deformation of the cap.
Irremovable closure
Disclosed herein is a closure containing a top deck, an inner skirt and an outer skirt. The inner skirt engages the neck of a bottle via a snap fitting. The closure contains regions of weakness such that once the inner skirt engages the neck of the bottle and the regions of weakness are broken, the closure cannot be removed from the bottle neck without disabling the snap engagement between the closure and neck, thus preventing refilling and reuse of the bottle.
Closure with tamper band and spout
A tamper evident closure and spout are provided. The closure includes an outer wall and a central wall supported from the outer wall. The closure defines a passage extending between an upper edge and a lower edge of the closure and located between an inner surface of the outer wall and an outer surface of the central wall. The closure includes a tamper-indicating band extending from the central wall. The spout includes a wall portion and a central channel extending through the wall portion between an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The spout includes a structure located below the inlet opening the first and second exterior surfaces are both angled toward the central axis of the spout.
CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR A CONTAINER AND CONTAINER HAVING A CLOSURE ASSEMBLY
A closure assembly for a container filled or fillable with a pourable product includes a lid, a first ring member, a second ring member, a coupling element connected to the lid and one of the first ring member and the second ring member, at least one rupturable first coupling bridge connecting the first ring member and the second ring member to one another; and at least one rupturable second coupling bridge connecting the second ring member and the lid to one another.
Closure for a container and components for a closure
A closing element for restricting communication of a substance through an access passage of a body includes a first portion for being removably affixed to the body, the first portion having an inner wall, an outer wall surrounding the inner wall, and at least one bridge connecting the outer wall with the inner wall. The closing element has a second portion for being non-removably affixed to the body and a movable connecting element extending between the first portion and the second portion. The closing element has an unactuated configuration wherein a major portion of the length of the connecting element is located laterally between the inner wall and the outer wall to shield the major portion of the length of the connecting element.
Closure with Modified Retaining Band
A closure with a top panel, a skirt extending downward and away from the top panel, frangible connections that connect the skirt to a tamper band. The frangible connections provide a visual indication, when broken, that the closure has been opened. The tamper band includes a sidewall coupled to the frangible connections, and a container engagement structure that extends from the tamper band and interfaces with the container neck when the closure is opened for the first time. The engagement end includes a first portion that defines an end surface facing away from the connection point, and a second portion that extends past the first portion and is further from the vertical axis than the first portion.
CLOSURE WITH TAMPER-EVIDENT BAND
A closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion and an annular skirt portion. The skirt portion includes an internal thread formation. The second closure portion includes a tamper-evident band depending from and being at least partially detachably connected to the skirt portion by a frangible connection. The polymeric tamper-evident band includes a first portion and a second portion connected via a bending area. The first portion has a flared end in which the thickness of the flared end is at least 1.25 times greater than the thickness of a directly adjacent section of the first portion. The second portion has a tab portion and an extension portion.
Cap for a container
A cap for a container comprises: a body, configured to be coupled and uncoupled relative to the neck of the container and including a side wall, which extends around a longitudinal axis, and a transverse wall; a tamper evident ring, configured to remain anchored to the neck of the container even when the body is uncoupled from the neck and including a joining portion where the tamper evident ring is joined to the body, the joining portion being configured to be torn along a full perimeter surrounding the longitudinal axis, wherein the cap comprises a connecting band having a first end connected to the side wall of the body and a second end connected to the retaining portion of the tamper evident ring.
Cap for a container
A method for making a cap for a container, comprising a step of forming in which the following are: a body, configured to be coupled and uncoupled relative to the neck of the container and including a side wall, which extends around a longitudinal axis, and a transverse wall; a tamper evident ring, configured to remain anchored to the neck of the container even when the body is uncoupled from the neck and including a joining portion where the tamper evident ring is joined to the body, the joining portion being configured to be torn along a full perimeter surrounding the longitudinal axis, wherein the cap comprises a connecting band having a first end connected to the side wall of the body and a second end connected to the retaining portion of the tamper evident ring.
Container cap and compounds
A cap for accommodating a compound includes a body with an opening. The opening penetrates from an upper to a lower end portion of the body by a first length. A membrane seals a lower end portion of the opening. A lid is removably coupled and moveable relative to the body. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from an interior surface of the lid by a second length greater than the first length. The opening accommodates a lower end portion of the protrusion. A spacer removably couples with the lid and interposes between the lid and the body. The spacer configurable between a first state in which the spacer is engaged with the lid, which prevents the protrusion from penetrating the membrane, and a second state in which the spacer is disengaged with the lid, which allows the protrusion of the lid to penetrate the membrane of the body.
