Tamper Evident Flip Cap
20220106085 · 2022-04-07 ·

A closure includes a flip-top structure and a tamper-evident band. The flip-top structure is restricted from being opened because it interfaces against an underlying protrusion, such as a thread of a container's neck. To open the flip-top structure the closure is rotated with respect to the container neck. When the closure is rotated with respect to the container neck, the closure is configured such that the tamper-evident band breaks before the flip-top structure is permitted to rotate to an open position. Thus, the closure prevents accessing the container's contents until after the tamper-evident band is broken even with the addition of a flip-top structure.

A cap for accommodating a compound includes a body with an opening. The opening penetrates from an upper to a lower end portion of the body by a first length. A membrane seals a lower end portion of the opening. A lid is removably coupled and moveable relative to the body. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from an interior surface of the lid by a second length greater than the first length. The opening accommodates a lower end portion of the protrusion. A spacer removably couples with the lid and interposes between the lid and the body. The spacer configurable between a first state in which the spacer is engaged with the lid, which prevents the protrusion from penetrating the membrane, and a second state in which the spacer is disengaged with the lid, which allows the protrusion of the lid to penetrate the membrane of the body.

PLASTIC CAP
20220073237 · 2022-03-10 ·

A plastic cap is able to be applied to a container having a screw formed with a vent. The plastic cap has an outer ring for sealing at least the outer surface of the mouth of the container, and an inner ring for sealing the inner surface of the container mouth. In a closed state, sealability is maintained by a seal point on the inner surface of the outer ring. In an unsealing step, a seal point on the outer surface of the inner ring is shifted into a pressure-contacted state on the inner surface of the container mouth, where there is no risk of sink marks caused by molding strain, before a seal by the outer ring is released. Thus, reliable sealability can be exhibited even when the cap is applied to a container having inferior dimensional accuracy.

A tamper-evident container closure (10) is provided and comprises a base (15) and a lid (20). The base and lid are connected together by a hinge (25) so that the lid can be moved between a closed position and an open position. The base is attachable to a container neck. Generally opposite the hinge the lid includes a retention member (35), the retention member includes or defines a window (39) and includes a retention portion for engagement with a cooperating portion on the closure and/or on a container neck for holding the lid in a closed position. The closure includes a tamper-evident member (40) at least part of which moves into or out of view with respect to the window to indicate opening of the closure.

COMBINATION OF A CAP FOR A CONTAINER AND A NECK OF THE CONTAINER
20210300648 · 2021-09-30 ·

Described is a combination of a closing cap (1′) for a container (2) and a neck (201) of the container (2), wherein the cap (1′) comprises a lateral wall (3) extending about an axis (Z) and a transversal wall (4) positioned at an end of the lateral wall (3), a separation line (5′) of the lateral wall (3) defining a retaining ring (301′), configured to remain anchored to the neck (201) and a closing element (302) to open or close the container (2). The separation line (5′) extends about the axis (Z) and is circumferentially interrupted so as to leave the retaining ring (301) and the closing element (302) joined together. The retaining ring (301′) comprises a retaining portion (303), configured to engage internally with a locking ring (202) of the neck (201), the latter projecting from an outer surface of the neck (201) and extending in a direction parallel to the axis (Z) between an upper end (202c) and a lower end (202b). The retaining ring (301′) comprises a joining portion (305) which allows the retaining ring (301′) to be joined to the closing element (302), a first connecting band (306) and a second connecting band (307), which connect the joining portion (305) to the retaining portion (303), and a tab (308) positioned between the first connecting band (306) and the second connecting band (307). The connecting bands (306; 307) are made by an incision line (7′) which comprises a first lateral stretch (702′) and a second lateral stretch (703′) wherein the first lateral stretch (702′) and the second lateral stretch (703′), when the closing element (302) is in a closed condition, are arranged in such a way that when the closing element (302) is in an open condition and the connecting bands (306, 307) keep the closing element (302) connected to the retaining ring (301′), the tab (308) can rest on the neck (201) beyond the upper end (202c) of the locking ring (202) towards the dispensing opening (203).
