Smart Capsules
The technology relates to a cap 1 having a head 4 and a skirt 7 with a circumferential opening area 20 characterized in that the cap 1 may include a transponder 10 including and antenna circuit 14 and a leg circuit 17 the leg circuit 17 extending to the skirt 7 and being non-releasably affixed to the opening area 20, whereby the leg circuit 17 is breakable by disruption of the opening area 20. The transponder 10 stores and is able to transmit information on the integrity of the cap 1 to a reading device.
Containers and recyclable tamper-evident closure assemblies
An assembly includes a container with a neck and a tamper-evident closure coupled to the container. The neck has a projection with a groove and a ramp. The tamper-evident closure includes a skirt with two portions engaged with the groove and the ramp. The skirt may be rotated relative to the neck to enlarge a diameter of the skirt and disengage the skirt from the neck.
Child Resistant Pail
An improved lid and pail combination provides a child resistant connection for use with pails.
Container covers and methods of using the same
A cover for a container that includes a lid portion and a collar element. The lid portion having a main body section surrounded by a peripheral sealing shoulder. The collar element having a peripheral collar sealing shoulder that includes a collar groove and wherein the lid portion is connected to the collar portion through a hinge element. The lid portion, collar element and hinge portion are formed as a unitary structure and the lid portion articulates from an open positon in which it is spaced apart from the collar element to a closed position wherein the peripheral bead sealing shoulder of the lid portion engages with the peripheral collar sealing shoulder of the collar element.
Container
A container, in particular a plastic vial produced in the blow-molding method and filled and closed in the mold, has a neck part (5) joined to a container body (1). The neck part receives a one-part or multi-part cap (2). A fixing part (29) is connected to the cap (2) by a breaking point (31), which can be detached by a relative rotational motion between the cap (2) and the container body (1). Each breaking point (31) can be detached by rotational motions in both rotational directions with approximately the same angle of rotation and approximately the same torque.
Closure with tamper band and spout
A tamper evident closure and spout are provided. The closure includes a tamper-indicating band extending from a central wall. Formed about the tamper band are one or more spout engagement structures. Also provided about the tamper band may be one or more knuckles that assist in distorting the tamper band upon initial removal of the closure from a spout so as to increase the ease with which the tamper band can be identified as having been broken upon visual inspection by a user. The spout includes a wall portion and a central channel extending through the wall portion between an inlet opening and an outlet opening. Located about an outer portion of the spout are one or more tamper band engagement structures configured to engage a tamper band and which assist in breaking and distorting a tamper band upon initial removal of a closure from the spout.
Childproof safety cap and associated container for liquid or pasty substances
Childproof safety cap has two opposite bead-like threads on its inner wall. Each thread has a widened end region, a stop surface thus being formed. The associated bottle has two opposite groove-like threads on a connecting piece of the bottle, each of which threads has a widened region in the end region, an undercut thus being formed in the groove by the widened region. When the safety cap is screwed on, the stop surfaces on the two bead-like threads hook in behind the undercuts on the groove-like threads. The stop surfaces can be released from each other only if the safety cap is pressed down toward the bottle onto the connecting-piece neck. Connecting-piece neck forms a slipping surface that conically expands downwards. The safety cap can then be unscrewed while simultaneously being rotated.
SNAP CLOSURE WITH TAMPER-EVIDENT SAFETY MEANS
A cover operates with a bistable snap-fit mechanism for positioning on a closable opening of a container or on another element to be closed by the cover. The cover and/or a container wall region has fitted thereon a tamper-evident sealing element to be removed when opening the container for the first time, which, prior to being removed, blocks deformation of the front wall necessary for changeover between the two bistable states and/or prevents an expansion portion necessary for the snap-fit mechanism, from bringing about alteration to the outer circumference of the cover necessary for deformation of the front wall of the cover between the two bistable states. As an alternative, or in addition, it is also possible for a handle member, necessary for pulling off the cover, to be configured such that it can only be used once the tamper-evident sealing has been successfully removed.
LOCKABLE CLOSURE
Aspects of the present invention are directed to a child-proof cap that is easier to open for adults than traditional child-resistant closures, yet remains resistant to opening by children. The child-proof cap may be opened in a pull-and-flip motion with a single hand.
TAMPER EVIDENT CLOSURE
A closure for flexible food containers that gives a visual indication of when the cap has been removed from the spout on the closure. The cap has a window that has a filament or bridge forming the bottom of the window. This filament is broken by a tab extending out from the sidewall of the spout when the cap is removed from the closure's spout. This gives the user a visual indication that the cap has been removed.
