CONTAINER SYSTEM WITH A REMOVABLE CAP
A container and methods of manufacturing and operating the same are provided where the container has a cap that is removable yet childproof. The cap is positioned in a tubular body, and the cap has a generally smooth or continuous upper surface to reduce or eliminate surfaces or edges for a child to grasp. To operate the cap, a disc in the center of the cap is pushed below a lip, and a user grasps the lip to pull the cap from the tubular body. The force needed to press the disc away from the lip is low enough for an adult but too high for a child. Moreover, the cap forms an interference fit with the tubular body with enough friction force to prevent the cap from falling out of the tubular body but is low enough that the cap can be pulled from the tubular body.
DUAL USE BOX
Example aspects of a method of using a box are disclosed. The box can comprise a primary sealing flap comprising a primary adhesive, a secondary flap connected to the primary sealing flap and comprising a secondary adhesive, and a covered top panel opposite the secondary flap. The method can comprise removing a secondary peelable backing from the secondary adhesive; leaving a primary peelable backing adhered to the primary adhesive; and adhering the secondary flap to the covered top panel with the secondary adhesive.
DUAL USE BOX
Example aspects of a box and a collapsible box are disclosed. The box can comprise comprising a plurality of side panels comprising a first side panel and a second side panel opposite the first side panel; a first top panel extending from the first side panel, the first top panel comprising a primary sealing flap, a first secondary sealing flap, and a second secondary sealing flap; and a second top panel extending from the second side panel, the box configurable in a first closed configuration, wherein the first and second secondary sealing flaps are secured to the second top panel, and a second closed configuration, wherein the primary sealing flap is secured to the second top panel.
HIGH STRENGTH CORRUGATED CARTON DESIGN AND LID FOR MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING OF FRESH PRODUCE AND FRESH-CUT FLOWERS
A container assembly including, a carton base having a substantially planar bottom surface, a lid having a top surface and a plurality of sidewalls extending therefrom. The lid is releasably engaged with the carton base and forms an interior space when engaged with the carton base. The top surface of the lid includes: a plurality of raised platforms, each raised platform having a substantially planar top surface, and a plurality of channels extending between each of the raised platforms such that each of the plurality of channels continuously extends to a perimeter of the lid. Additionally, the carton base is formed of three distinct laminate layers, with at least one of the laminate layers including a resin and a board weight of 200 g/m.sup.2 to 300 g/m.sup.2.
Dual use box
A box comprising: a side panel; a covering top panel connected to the side panel by a fold line, the covering top panel comprising an overlapping portion comprising: a primary sealing flap, the primary sealing flap comprising a primary adhesive; a secondary flap connected to the primary sealing flap by a perforated line, the secondary flap comprising a distal end and a proximal portion that is proximal the side panel relative to the distal end, the distal end comprising a secondary adhesive, the distal end joined to the proximal portion by a tear strip.
UNIT FOR BONDING A CONTAINER, ESPECIALLY A PRESSURISED BEVERAGE CONTAINER, WITH THE LID, AND A PREFORM FOR PRODUCING THE CONTAINER
A unit for bonding the container with the lid, made of plastic, designated especially for pressurised beverages, having a profiled rim of the container opening and a profiled rim of the lid, characterised in that the profiled rim of the opening (2) of the container (1) comprises a flange (3) formed around the said opening (2), extending outwards away from the side wall of the container, where the flange (3) has a top surface (4), side surface (5) and bottom surface (6) bonded to the external side surface of the container (1), and where formed on the top surface (4) around the opening (2) of the container (1) there is a rib (7) protruding above the surface (4), while the profiled rim of the lid (8) comprises a groove (9) formed on the bottom surface (10) of the lid (8) around its bottom edge, the groove (9) accommodating the said rib (7) which supports the lid (8) without touching on the top surface (4) of the flange (3), where there is an energy director (12, 13) formed on the bottom of the groove (9) or the top surface of the rib (7), which focuses ultrasonic energy in the process of ultrasonic welding of the rib (7) and the lid (8).
Tamper evident tabbed sealing member having a foamed polymer layer
A pull-tab sealing member for a container providing a foamed polymer layer positioned within the sealing member for effective heat sealing to the container together with a lower laminate below a tab capable of tearing to provide a tamper evident structure below the tab.
Push button closure
A container closure includes a generally planar body having a product side and a customer side. The container closure body defines a limited container opening and an actuation location. Further, the container body includes a force concentrating construction disposed adjacent the limited container opening.
LID FOR A CONTAINER
A lid for a container is provided. The lid includes a perimeter sidewall having a lower inwardly turned flange and a bottom panel secured to the inwardly turned flange. The lid has a frustoconical shape created by a taper angle of the perimeter sidewall. The perimeter sidewall may have at taper angle that is equal to, greater than, or less than a taper angle of the container into which the lid is inserted. The lid may create an interference fit between the perimeter sidewall of the lid and the sidewall of the container along all or a portion of the height of the perimeter sidewall to secure the lid to the container after the lid is inserted into the upper end opening of the container.
