Gasketless Closure For Open-Top Pails

A molded plastic closure is configured to provide a plug fit with the top rim of an open top container having an outwardly protruding rim flange. A two-part seal preventing leakage of fluid from the container is provided by means of a ridge structure on the inner wall of the inverted U-shaped channel of the closure peripheral structure as well as a flexible sealing wiper appendage which is formed integrally with the top of the inverted U-shaped structure and which deformingly contacts the top surface of the container rim when the rim is essentially fully inserted into the U-shaped channel. The wiper appendage is formed to angle toward the inner channel wall in the undeflected condition.

A waterproof container is disclosed. The container can include first shell and a second shell; a first rim extending around the first shell; a second rim extending around the second shell; and a latch for securing the first shell to the second shell and defining an enclosed storage volume in a mated position. The first shell can include a grip projection adapted for opening the container from a mated position. The latch defines a latch recess adapted for receiving the grip projection when the latch secures the first shell to the second shell in the mated position. The second rim can include a continuous recess, having a pair of continuous sides and a seal ridge between, but spaced apart from, the continuous sides, while the first rim can include inner and outer continuous sealing ridges that fit over the seal ridge and between the continuous sides.

INTER-MODAL SHIPPING MINI-CONTAINERS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
20190241314 · 2019-08-08 ·

A mini-container for inter-modal shipping includes panels forming a pair of oppositely disposed side walls, a front wall, a back wall opposite to said front wall, a floor, and a roof. The side, front and back walls may releasably lock to one another to form an enclosure and unlock from one another. The panels are positionable between an erected-for-use configuration and a collapsed storage configuration. In the storage configuration, the side, front and back panels are stacked lying flat to form a stack of the panels laying on the base. The stack of panels is overlaid with the roof. The erected mini-containers are sized for space efficient loading of an inter-modal mobile transport conveyor such as an automobile carrier, train, ship or plane. In their storage configuration the mini-containers may be carried on the mobile transport conveyors for later use carrying cargo and may be carried in a stack simultaneously with mini-containers carrying cargo. The mini-containers may be sized so as to enclose at least two standard-sized pallets or at least three standard-sized boxes positioned side-by-side and adjacent the base of the mini-container.

Cover and drainage for a food container

Systems and methods for providing compostable food containers, which preserve the quality of a food product for an extended duration of time, and which optionally, allow for cooking of the food product therein. In some implementations, the food containers are sturdy, stackable, insulating, and require minimal or no manual labor to assemble. In some implementations, the food container includes a base and a cover, which cooperate to form a closed chamber for supporting, protecting, insulating and optionally cooking a food product, such as a pizza. The base and cover may each be formed of a single layer of material including, but not limited to, molded sugarcane fiber (bagasse), molded wood fiber, molded bamboo fiber, molded paper or plastic.

Rigid Packages Having Peelable Hermetic Seals

The disclosed principles provide for a welding technique welding the flanges of a rigid lid sealed onto a rigid tray, such that the two may be easily separated but still repeatedly reclosable such that the rigid package may be reused. For this unique and advantageous ultrasonic welding technique, the disclosed principles provide for the inclusion of a unique delamination layer between the similar rigid materials used for forming the flanges of both the lid and the tray. The disclosed principles provide for the delamination layer to be provide on one or both of the two rigid materials, but behind the seal interphase area so that the hermitic seal may still be created. This delamination layer operates such that it peels apart (i.e., delaminates) as the ultrasonically sealed rigid material of the lid flange and rigid material of the tray flange are pulled apart while opening the package initially.

Multi-Compartment Rigid Tray with Recloseable Rigid Dome Lid

Disclosed are rigid multi-compartment recloseable packages. A package may comprise a rigid tray comprising a product surface to hold food products. The tray may comprise a raised lip along a perimeter of the product surface to laterally secure the food products thereon. The tray may have a tray skirt horizontally extending outward from a top edge of the lip, and dividing features upwardly extending from the product surface to form distinct compartments on the product surface for receiving the food products therein. Furthermore, such an exemplary package also comprises a recloseable rigid lid having an upper surface substantially coextensive with the product surface, and at least one sidewall downwardly extending from the upper surface. The lid may also comprise a lid skirt horizontally extending outward from a bottom edge of the at least one sidewall, where the lid skirt is coextensive and complimentary in shape with the tray skirt.

CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR CLOSING AN OPENING OF CONTAINER

A container comprising: a container body that includes a wall portion separating inside and outside and is formed of a long-fiber-reinforced silicon-carbide composite material obtained by combining monofilaments of silicon carbide with a silicon carbide matrix, the wall portion having a thickness equal to a specific dimension; and a lid configured to close an opening of the container body, formed of a material containing at least silicon carbide, and equipped with such a wall portion separating inside and outside that thickness is within a range of 1 to 3 times the specific dimension.

AIRTIGHT BOX

There is provided an airtight box, comprising a box body and a cover covering the box body to close the box body tightly. The box body is provided with a receiving chamber with an opening which opens upwards and two side walls respectively located on both sides of the receiving chamber. A sliding groove extending longitudinally is provided on an outer side of each side wall. The airtight box is further provided with an opening and locking mechanism slidably connecting the cover and the box body. The opening and locking mechanism is provided with a pushing member slidably fixed in the sliding groove and a connecting rod rotatably fixed on the pushing member and mounted inside the cover. The connecting rod, under an action of the pushing member, presses upwards and drives the cover backwards to expose the receiving chamber to the outside.

CLOSURE COMPRISING A HINGED LID

A closure for a container, including a base part, which can be fastened to a container opening in the container and has an outlet opening, and a hinged lid, which can pivot about a pivot axis towards the base part and closes the outlet opening in the base part in a closed position. The invention is wherein the base part has two opposing shoulders, the hinged lid being between the two shoulders in the closed position, and the two shoulders projecting beyond the hinged lid in a vertical direction. The hinged lid is therefore protected from impacts coming from the side and from above.

A container is provided with a lid having a removable thermometer for measuring the temperature of liquids in the container. A gasket is provided to secure the thermometer to the lid and maintain a hermetic seal between the thermometer and the gasket and between the gasket and the lid. The gasket is resilient to maintain the hermetic seal when the thermometer is subjected to torque or other stresses such as may occur when the lid is attached or detached from the container.
