Container Cover and Assembly Thereof
A cover apparatus for covering an opening of a container such as an open topped container, known as a tote bin or dump buggy, for the reception of perishables or foodstuffs therein, the cover apparatus comprised of a flexible sheet material and includes first and second folded portions respectively located adjacent to opposing edges of, and co-planar with, the remainder of the said cover apparatus. The folded portions are movable to a partially unfolded position to contact with an adjacent side wall of the container such that the opening of the container is substantially covered by the remainder of the cover apparatus and the folded portions including welds or seals to form a chamber or pouch when at least partially unfolded. The cover apparatus can include materials which allow the cover apparatus, or a fragment thereof, to be rendered detectable by metal and/or X-ray detection apparatus.
PHA-based container and method for manufacturing such container
The present invention relates to a plastic container for a liquid, comprising a body portion (1) and a neck portion (2). The body portion (1) comprises a body portion wall (3) forming a reservoir adapted to contain the liquid. The neck portion (2) is formed by a neck portion wall (6) that forms an opening (5) for filling the container with liquid and emptying the container. The container body portion wall (3) and the container neck portion wall (6) are made of biodegradable plastics at least the body portion (1) wall being made of a material comprising 40 to 99.9 weight percent of poly hydroxyalkanoate (PHA). The maximum thickness of the neck portion wall (6) is less than 2 mm, and preferably comprised between 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm. This enhances the biodegradability of the whole container.
Dual-layered food container
A dual-layered food container including a layer of parchment paper and a layer of aluminum foil. The parchment paper is on one surface of the wrap, while the aluminum foil is on the opposite surface. This arrangement prevents the aluminum foil from directly contacting the food, thereby avoiding potential health risks associated with aluminum. The wrap can take various forms such as a pocket, bag or sheet, and can be particularly useful for triangularly shaped food items like pizza slices.
Fiber-based container
The invention relates to a fiber-based container comprising a first layer made of compressed pulp, which forms a dimensionally stable sleeve and encloses an interior. The sleeve is at least partially coated with a second layer made of a partially crystalline polyester, and the partially crystalline polyester is applied in the form of a fluid or powder.
PACKAGING AND THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION FOR PACKAGING
A package, in particular a film for food having one or more layers, suitable for making packages capable of increasing the shelf life of fruit and vegetables, is described.
BIODEGRADABLE CONTAINER
A biodegradable container including a structure with one or more layers of puffed and pressed cereal seeds, bound together by a quantity of starch of said cereal seeds; the use of such container for storing and transporting foods, such as ice cream; and a method for manufacturing it.
