Method and apparatus for wrapping a shipment
Embodiments relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system for shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The cover system can be adapted to any skid such as wooden or plastic pallets used for smaller loads used in air transport or any other mode of transportation. The cover system can include one or multiple parts. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials. Different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations for horticultural product loads. The cover system decreases the amount of water vapor released in the cargo holds.
Methods of making, packaging, and delivering compressed hollow coreless reformable roll products
A compressed hollow coreless roll of absorbent paper sheet produced by way of providing a roll of absorbent paper sheet by winding the sheet about a forming core member having a diameter in the range of 30 mm to 50 mm; removing the forming core member such that there is provided a hollow coreless roll of absorbent paper sheet with an axial cavity having a diameter in the range of 30 mm to 50 mm and compressing the hollow coreless roll such that the axial cavity is substantially collapsed. The compressed hollow coreless rolls are readily re-formed into cylindrical shape. Space-saving packages of the rolls are overwrapped with tubular polymer film to provide a flexible reconfigurable package of a series of individually encased rolls. Volume reductions of about 10 to about 20%, about 14% to about 20%, 30%, 40% and more as compared with conventional products are realized.
System for packaging a plurality of packages on a pallet
A system for packaging a plurality of packing units on a pallet, including: a plurality of packing units made of packaging sleeves and packing-unit overwrapping, the packing-unit overwrapping enclosing the packaging sleeves; a pallet for stacking the packing units; pallet overwrapping, which encloses the packing units stacked on the pallet; and an insert provided, where: the packaging sleeves are produced from a composite material; the front side and the rear side of each packaging sleeve are separated from one another by folding edges, along which the packaging sleeve is folded flat; each packaging sleeve has two openings which are arranged on opposite sides of the packaging sleeve; each packaging sleeve has a longitudinal seam which connects two edges of the composite material to form a peripheral packaging sleeve; and the pallet overwrapping is produced from a plastics film.
Stackable liquid vessel and multi-vessel arrangement
A stackable liquid vessel may be able to receive, store, and dispense various liquids or fluids, such as beverages, cooking oil or vinegar, motor oil, and/or other appropriate materials or substances. Each stackable liquid vessel may be able to at least partially couple to at least one other stackable liquid vessel. An arrangement of stackable liquid vessels may utilize perforated slipsheets to reduce material usage when packing, shipping, storing, and/or displaying multiple stackable liquid vessels (e.g., a pallet of stackable vessels).
Bundle of tubular and/or rod-shaped glass articles, method for its fabrication as well as for unpacking said bundle
A bundle of tubular and/or rod-shaped glass articles is provided that includes a longest dimension, a plurality of layers (N.sub.L) of the glass articles, and a thread-like element. The longest dimension extends in a first direction. The glass articles in each layer are arranged side by side in a second direction. The plurality of layers are arranged side by side in a third direction. The first, second, and third directions being perpendicular to one another. The thread-like element is around two of the glass articles in at least one layer so that the two glass articles are spaced apart.
Plastic Wrap Securement For Plastic Pallet
A pallet comprising means to secure a tarp or plastic covering is designed to minimize the amount of plastic wrap or tarp required and to be simply employed. The securement means of the present invention are at least partially integrated with the pallet and do not interfere with the other operative loading features of the tray or pallet. In general, the means to secure comprise an opening integral to a side or end of the pallet, opening to the bottom edge, and shaped to both accept and secure a portion of the covering.
LOW ASPECT-RATIO PALLETIZED FAN-FOLDED STOCK MATERIAL
Palletized units of fan-folded stock material include a pallet having a deck configured to support the fan-folded stock material, and a stack of the stock material supportively positioned on the deck. The stock material includes an elongated web of sheet material configuration defined by folds in the web about fold lines that extend in a transverse direction of the web that segment the web into a plurality of sheet sections, with adjacent sheet sections folded onto one another.
