Arrangement and method for analyzing milk
A milk analyzing system is disclosed, which includes a milk constituent analyzing unit configured to analyze milk from a milking station with respect to a specific constituent of the milk, and a control device communicatively connected to the milking station and to the milk constituent analyzing unit. The control device is configured to retrieve an analyzing appropriateness parameter for each of the animals milked by the milking station indicating an appropriateness of analyzing milk from the animal with respect to the specific constituent. The control device is configured to control the milk constituent analyzing unit to analyze milk from the milking station with respect to the specific constituent when the time elapsed from when the milk constituent analyzing unit last analyzed milk exceeds a threshold time period, irrespective of the analyzing appropriateness parameter for the animal milked by the milking station.
MILKING SYSTEM WITH DETECTION SYSTEM
A milking system includes a device to sample and analyse a milk sample, a sample supply line connected to the milk line, a pump to control the sample flow, an optical radiation source, and an optical sensor device to detect and analyse optical radiation coming from the reagent pad with said sample, to provide an indication of a substance in the sample, a tape mover to move and unwind the tape from the tape reel, and a pump drive releasably operably connected to the pump device for driving the pump device. The sampling and analysis device also includes a cassette with a sample receiving line to receive the sample from the sample supply line, a tape reel with a tape that includes a base tape layer and a series of separate reagent pads, and a dosing device to provide a droplet of the sample onto a reagent pad.
MILKING INSTALLATION
The disclosure concerns a milking installation including milking positions configured to milk one animal at a time, a first common milk line connected to a first milk receiver, a second common milk line connected to a second milk receiver, a control arrangement, and at least one robot arm. Each milking position includes at least one teat cup and a flow directing arrangement, the flow directing arrangement including an inlet arrangement connected to the teat cup, a first outlet arrangement connected to the first milk line, and a second outlet arrangement connected to the second milk line. The control arrangement is configured to control the flow directing arrangement to fluidly connect the teat cup via the inlet arrangement with either the first outlet arrangement or the second outlet arrangement.
