DISPENSER

There is disclosed a dispenser (10), such as a confectionery dispenser, for dispensing product objects such as pieces of confectionery (40). The dispenser (10) comprises a container (12) for storing product objects; and at least one dispensing arrangement (14, 16). The dispensing arrangement (14), (16) comprises an opening (18) provided in the container (12); a collection region (26) located within the container (12) and adjacent to the opening (18); a guide (32) disposed within the container (12) and adjacent to the collection region (26); and a dispensing tray (29) disposed within the container (12) and adjacent to the opening (18). The dispensing arrangement (14), (16) is configured the opening (18) and having a dispensing surface 30 accessible through such that in use in a loading orientation of the dispensing arrangement (14), (16) product objects collect in the collection region (26). During movement of the dispensing arrangement (14), (16) from the loading orientation to a dispensing orientation the guide member (32) guides product objects within the collection region (26) so as to dispense them onto the dispensing surface (30) of the dispensing tray (29).

CAP ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICATION CONTAINER

The medication container includes a receptacle that has an inner space for holding medications. The cap assembly is coupled with the receptacle for retaining the medications in the inner space. The cap assembly includes at least one passage that can be selectively opened and closed and includes at least one medication sensor that is configured to detect any medications travelling through the passage and out of the receptacle in a contactless manner. A microprocessor is in electrical communication with the at least one medication sensor and with a memory. The microprocessor is configured to record data to the memory in response to the at least one medication sensor detecting a medication travelling through the passage. A wireless module is in electrical communication with the microprocessor for uploading the data to an external device.

The gum storage chamber is communicated with the gum carrying groove through the funnel apparatus. The gum carrying groove is connected to the push handle and is capable of reciprocating along the guide rails and the guide rail groove. When retrieving gum, the box body is tilted and shaken first to allow gum in the storage chamber to slide along the gum introducing plate into the gum carrying groove via the funnel apparatus. The push handle then is actuated to have the gum pushed out along the guide rail and the guide rail groove, so that the gum is available for retrieval.

The lid may be rotated along a first path in a first configuration which does not permit alignment of a window in the lid with a slot in the container. Upon activation of a latch mechanism, the lid can be moved vertically to permit rotation along a second path where the window and the slot align sufficiently to discharge product from the container.

During each dispensing cycle, which includes removing the cap from the container to allow access to the contents of the container and re-securing the cap to the container, the display schedule is automatically advanced to a next indication. In one implementation, the container is a bottle with a threaded neck and the cap is complementarily threaded and has a cylindrical rim and a schedule display. An indication on or within the schedule display is displayed through an aperture in the cap rim. Features included in the cap and the schedule display interoperate to ensure that the displayed indication is advanced to a next indication when the cap is unscrewed from, and subsequently threaded onto, the bottle.
