Tessellating blister packages for contact lenses
A blister package for a contact lens is provided that can be stacked with other blister packages of the same design. One example of the blister package has a body that includes a dome and a handle. A seal is attached to the top surface of the body and has a seal dome that seals a volume between the outer sidewall of the body dome and the inner sidewall of the seal dome. The handle has a through-hole and the through-hole that accommodates the outer sidewall of the seal dome. Another blister package provided has a handle and a bowl and the handle has a through-hole that accommodates the bowl outer surface. Stacks of blister packages are also provided as is secondary packaging for packaging stacks of tessellating blister packages.
Contact lens package and method for producing the same
A contact lens package includes a silicone hydrogel contact lens, a packaging container composed of a polypropylene, and a packaging solution containing a nonionic surfactant, the nonionic surfactant including a linear alkyl moiety having 12 or more carbon atoms and an oxyethylene moiety, the average addition mole number of oxyethylene being 30 or more per mole of the nonionic surfactant.
CONTACT LENS PACKAGES AND METHODS OF OPENING
The present invention relates to improved contact lens packages. The package may be configured such that upon opening the package by a wearer the packaging solution drains away from the contact lens and is substantially recaptured in the lid. Lens packages also may include a lens support that facilitates single touch transfer or a colored region that visually indicates to a wearer where to hold the package for opening.
Contact lens packaging
A contact lens package includes a first layer, a support coupled to the first layer, a lens, and a second layer. The support includes a scaffold and a porous member attached to the scaffold where the porous member includes a curved surface. The lens includes an anterior surface and a posterior surface, and the posterior surface of the lens is disposed on the curved surface of the porous member. The second layer is coupled to the first layer to seal the support and the lens between the first layer and the second layer.
Contact lens blister packages and methods for recycling same
Contact lens packages are provided and each includes a base member having a cavity and a sealing member coupled to the base member. An unworn contact lens is provided in a packaging solution within the sealed cavity. The base member is a thermoplastic or other recyclable material. The base member includes at least one connecting member that can be an interlocking feature and/or a stackable feature. The connecting member is configured to connect to the connecting member of another base member, after the contact lenses are removed from the cavities. A recyclable thermoplastic contact lens assembly is also provided that includes empty contact lens package base members stacked and connected together. A method of manufacturing contact lens packages and a method to recycle used contact lens package base members, such as by curbside recycling, are also provided.
SINGLE TOUCH CONTACT LENS PACKAGE
The present invention relates to contact lens packages which allow the lens to be removed from the lens package with a single touch. The lenses packages comprise a lens support which holds the lens in a convex position. When the package is drained there is less contact area between the support and wetted contact lens than between the user's finger and the contact lens, providing the desired one touch transfer.
Contact lens package and contact lens packaging method
The present disclosure proposes a contact lens package. The contact lens package includes a first substrate, a contact lens, and a guard ring. The contact lens is disposed on the first substrate. The guard ring is disposed on the first substrate and surrounds the contact lens, wherein the guard ring is fixed on a side surface of the first substrate. The contact lens and the guard ring are surrounded and sealed in the first substrate.
Push-up contact lens blister package
A blister package for a contact lens is provided and has a body and a seal. The body includes a handle and a deformable bowl. The seal seals the deformable bowl at a bowl top opening. The handle includes a lateral portion and an end portion. The end portion curves downwardly to a distal end that terminates at a plane. The bowl is recessed from a top surface of the body and the outer bottom surface of the bowl is arranged substantially on the same plane as the distal end of the handle. The design provides leverage in holding the blister package while a user deforms and inverts the bowl into a dome, presenting a contact lens on top of the dome in position for direct transfer to a person's finger or for application directly on an eye without the need for any finger contact.
VISUAL TRIGGER IN PACKAGING
A contact lens package includes a first package layer and a second package layer joined to the first package layer at an edge of the first package layer. The first package layer and the second package layer collectively define, at least in part, a cavity and a contact lens is disposed within the cavity. A visual trigger is depicted on either the first package layer or the second package layer, and the visual trigger is identifiable by a mobile device to be associated with an executable file.
Packaging for disposable soft contact lenses having pre-formed multi-layer structural laminate
A contact lens package includes a multi-layer laminate substrate and a cover sheet. The multi-layer laminate substrate includes a first polymer layer, a first metal layer and at least one pre-formed lens receiving portion that is sized to hold at least a portion of a contact lens. The cover sheet is removably secured to the substrate and configured to seal a contact lens within the at least one lens receiving portion. The substrate has sufficient structural integrity to maintain a shape of the lens receiving portion.
