A method for the production of plastic products includes a loading step in which plastic material in granular form is inserted in a containing element, and a heating step, in which the plastic material in granular form is heated until the melting temperature is reached. The method also includes an extrusion step in which the plastic material is conveyed toward extrusion means and extruded to form at least one layer of a film of plastic material and a printing step in which, by means of printing means, at least one layer of printing material is deposited on the film of plastic material to define information associated with the film of plastic material. During the printing step the printing means deposit electrically conductive material on the film of plastic material, according to a predetermined conformation able to define a predetermined electric circuit. The electric circuit comprises electronic memorization means configured to memorize at least predetermined information associated with the type of plastic product to be made.

The controller may be configured to make a determination that the service vehicle has made at least one service stop based on the location and service signals, and to make a comparison of characteristics of the at least one service stop with characteristics of at least one service stop of at least one known service route. Based on the comparison, the controller may be further configured to selectively transmit the recorded characteristics offboard the service vehicle.
