Trash bag detection device, smart trash receptacle and method for control of automatic bag replacement
The present invention discloses a trash bag detection device for a smart trash receptacle, comprising a transmitter for transmitting a signal and a receiver for receiving a signal, both the transmitter and the receiver being disposed on internal surfaces of the trash receptacle, wherein the signal received by the receiver is a direct signal transmitted from the transmitter or a signal from the transmitter that has been reflected. The present invention also discloses a smart trash receptacle incorporating such a trash bag detection device and a method for control of automatic bag replacement. With the present invention, the position of a trash bag in the trash receptacle can be automatically detected, allowing improved intelligent control of the trash receptacle. This is helpful in protecting the trash bag, saving resources, reducing potential safety risks of the smart trash receptacle and increasing its stability and reliability.

DUSTBIN LOCK ASSEMBLY
The invention provides a covered dustbin or covered container. In particular, the invention relates to a lock assembly for dustbins and covered containers. A lower half of the lock is mounted to the inside wall of the dustbin and an underlid half is mounted to the underside of a lid that is hinged to a location adjacent the upper rim of the dustbin. A pair of interlocking engagement members is provided to releasably secure the lid to the dustbin. The lower half and the underlid half each include one interlocking engagement member, such as a hook and a strike. A rocker, when actuated, urges the interlocking engagement members into a disengaged position, for example to disengage the hook from the strike. A user can use a handle provided on the lid to press down the rocker to disengage the lock and lift the lid in a one-hand operation.
Latch
A latch for a container is disclosed. The latch can comprise a body, which can be mounted to a lid of the container. The latch can further comprise a wheel that is rotatable relative to the body. The latch can engage the receptacle of the container. For example, the wheel can protrude under the rim of the receptacle when the lid is in a closed orientation relative to the receptacle. In other instances, the latch can be mounted to the receptacle of the container, and can releasably engage the lid of the container.
Grease container and lid for the same
The invention is generally applicable to a container. More specifically, the invention is applicable to a container for the collection, storage and transport of waste and refuse material, such as food grease generated by restaurants, schools, hospitals, grocery stores, hotels and other institutions that generate waste food grease.

Refuse container lid opening device having pushup actuator
A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid when closed is flush with or recessed below the top edge of a railing extending around the top rim of the container body. An actuator retained in a sleeve on the outer surface of the container body is movable using a first hand between a rest position and an upraised position in which it is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and engaged with the lid, further upward movement of the actuator opening the lid to form a manually accessible gap between the lid and the top rim to allow the lid to be fully opened using a second hand.
CONTAINER WITH COVER
A container includes a base, and a jacket adjoining the base and having a peripheral flange which defines an opening cross section which can be closed by a cover. The cover includes first snap-fit hooks distributed about a periphery of the cover for engagement in complementing first latching openings in the peripheral flange to thereby establish a form fit that prevents a movement away from the base and parallel to a vertical axis of the container in perpendicular relation to the base. The peripheral flange has four corner regions, each provided with a second latching opening for engagement of a second snap-fit hook of the cover. The second latching opening has at least one portion configured curved or inclined in relation to both a transverse axis and a longitudinal axis of the container, or has at least two straight portions extending at an inclination in relation to one another.
