A cassette for a waste disposal device is provided having a length of tubular liner film. The cassette has a central passage. The cassette has a forward edge, an aft edge, a first edge and a second edge defining a shape and a widthwise axis and a depthwise axis. The depthwise axis and widthwise axis intersect form two segments of each axis.

The present invention provides a trashcan or wastebasket that has lights and sounds simulating a fire that are activated when trash is thrown inside or on the verge of being thrown inside. One particular activation method consists of sensors housed at the top of the trashcan that detect when trash is thrown in. Once the trash is detected, the walls of the trashcan light up and flicker with an orange color like a fire and crackling fire sounds play. The lights and sounds play for a short interval and then stop until trash is detected again.

A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid is free of grabbable handles or protuberances but an elongated tongue descending from its underside is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and is accessible outward of the container body. A waste receiver for receiving pharmaceutical waste material and adapted to be releasably secured to a fixed surface is disclosed. The waste receiver comprises a receiver body with a fluid absorber and a chemical composition disposed within the receiver body. The receiver body defines an opening for receiving the pharmaceutical waste material and comprises an inner surface defining a container volume in fluid communication with the opening, and an outer surface opposite the inner surface with the outer surface defining a lock passageway through the receiver body and a keyway comprising a portion of the lock passageway. The lock passageway is adapted to receive a locking assembly and the keyway is adapted to receive an engagement feature of the locking assembly to releasably secure the waste receiver to the locking assembly in a single orientation. The waste receiver also comprises a cover adapted to be coupled with the receiver body.

A refuse receptacle is disclosed, having a body with an upper and a lower portion, the upper portion having a top rim forming a gusset with a vertical wall and a horizontal wall, the lower portion having a bottom side with a base rim. On the back side of the upper portion is a handle attached to the body of the receptacle. The handle is attached to the upper portion by at least one projecting sidewall. A lid is included, having a convex upper surface and two sets of opposing sidewalls. The opposing sidewalls correspond with the top rim of the body. The lid includes at least one projection to attach to the handle with a securing plate and fastener. The lower portion includes a drainage plug so that liquids within the body can be easily drained. A pair of wheels are connected by an axle and housed within wheel recesses.

A retaining system for maintaining a refuse container in a substantially upright position, said retaining system comprising: a retaining device for removably receiving a handle bar of said container, said retaining device fixedly attached to a rigid mount; a platform for receiving a base of said container and elevating said container above a support surface; an enclosure disposed around said container, said enclosure having an enclosure opening to facilitate depositing of said refuse into said container and removal of said container from said retaining device and said enclosure, and placement of said container in said enclosure.
