Systems and methods for sanitizing, cleaning, and deodorizing a garbage can are provided. The sanitization product can include a disposable pad covered in a solution that is inserted into indoor or outdoor garbage cans. The solution may be configured to minimize and prevent the spread of bacteria and other germs within a garbage can, which routinely occurs due to spilling of food, liquids, and other garbage within the can. Additionally, the pad may be made of an absorbable material so that any liquids that enter a garbage can can immediately be absorbed. Different solutions may be applied to the product depending on where the pad will be used. Additionally, a kit may be provided that includes multiple disposable pads. For instance, the kit may include a dozen pads, or more or less pads, that help to keep the user's garbage can clean and void of unpleasant odors.

Systems, methods and devices are provided for transporting, tracking and managing waste or recyclable materials, which may include one or more devices for transporting waste or recyclable material, such a via a bin that comprises a base; and a collapsible sleeve movable between an open state and a collapsed state, wherein the collapsible sleeve in the open state interfaces in a nesting manner with the base to form a bin for receiving and transporting waste material.

A method for transporting goods on a pallet, where the pallet may be reversibly converted to a bin for the collection of waste and/or recyclable material. The pallet may include a base with side walls and a collapsible sleeve wherein, if the collapsible sleeve is open and joined to the base, the collapsible sleeve, with the base, forms a bin. Goods are transported on the pallet. After unloading the pallets and removing the goods, the pallet may be converted to a bin. Waste or recyclable material may be placed in the bin and transported away. After removing the material in the bin and cleaning the bin, the bin may be collapsed back into a pallet for the transportation of goods.

A device for transporting waste or recyclable material is disclosed. The device can include a base with at least one temporary attachment mechanism to secure a collapsible sleeve in an open state to the base. The device may further include a collapsible sleeve movable between an open state and a collapsed state, the collapsible sleeve including at least one opening for interfacing with the at least one temporary attachment mechanism to secure the collapsible sleeve in an open state to the base, thus forming a bin for receiving and transporting waste or recyclable material.

A method of tracking food donations including, at a first location, collecting, in a bin, a collection of food, wherein the bin is associated with the first location and, at a second location, capturing an image of the collected food. The method may also include determining, based on the image, at least one parameter of the collected food, and, based on the at least one parameter, determining whether the food is in compliance with food donation regulations. If the collected food is in compliance with regulations, further determining that the collected food is be donated, determining a quantity of the food to be donated, and documenting the quantity of the food to be donated.

The waste disposal device and cassette can have similar cross-sectional geometry. The waste disposal device and/or cassette comprise a first wall, a second wall, and a first included angle defined therebetween between about sixty and about one-hundred twenty degrees.

Tip bonded formed laminates, and methods for making tip bonded formed laminates, are made from multiple layers of formed substrates made from films which are bonded together at the tips of their formed protrusions. Tip bonded laminates can be designed with greater resistance to bending, improved resilience to compression, and can be patterned for directionally oriented responses to tensile loads. Also, tip bonded formed laminates made from multiple layers of formed substrates can use their layered structure to provide better aesthetics as well as better physical properties such as improved puncture resistance. Tip bonded formed laminates can be configured with thicker portions and designed patterns, which are appealing to consumers. A tip bonded formed laminate can be made from two or more formed substrates and can be used instead of a single, thick, unformed, substrate, so the laminate can use about the same amount of material, while still providing surprising functional benefits. Tip bonded formed laminates can provide these benefits without relying on more expensive polymers and/or high concentrations of additives and offer significant improvements at a reasonable cost, when compared with unformed, single layer substrates.

A recycling bag and a method for incorporating the bag into a recycling program are provided. The bag and method include a resealable bag including a tamper evident seal having a unique identifier. The unique identifier is associated with a user. The recyclable contents of the bag are appraised and a valuation metric are assigned to the user upon recycling.

A cassette for disposing waste is provided having a variable cross-sectional geometry. The cross-sectional geometry varies at least at two locations around the periphery of the cassette such that a first maximum height at a first location is different than a second maximum height at a second different location, and the first maximum width at a first location is different than a second maximum width at a second location.
