SENSORED TRASHCAN WITH CONTENT INDICATIVE LIGHT AND DECORATIVE MEMBERS
A trashcan configured with compartments and sensors in association with a lighting apparatus operable to make it easier to detect when the trashcan is full and the compartment makes it easier to reach the trash bags and change it conveniently, the trash bag compartment can be used to store waste bags such as waste from pets. The trashcan is an embodiments in accordance with the present invention to enable an interactive trashcan application and security system, method, and device for monitoring a trash controlled environment and for detecting an emergency condition in the controlled environment and generating a response based on the existence of the trash emergency condition.
Waste handling system and method
A method and a waste handling system, wherein waste or recyclable material is transported in carrier bags, bags or sack to a disposal point, and from there onwards by a transport vehicle for further processing. An RFID identifier is used in connection with the carrier bag, bag, or sack, or used in waste transport. A closing member is provided with an RFID) identifier used in closing, or as verification of the closing of the carrier bag, bag, sack. A sensor is arranged in connection with, or in the proximity of, a disposal point, such as a waste room, of the waste system. Information read from the RFID identifier by the sensor is transmitted to a control unit, that is fitted to control the waste transport system based on the information given by the RFID identifier.
Sharps container with blackout strip
A sharps container includes a container portion and a closeable lid. The sharps container includes any suitable cross-sectional shape having at least one wall. The container portion is fabricated from a light translucent or transparent material, such that any suitable light may be shined through the at least one wall thereof. An upper perimeter of the container portion is treated, such that light will not shine through an upper twenty five percent of the container by volume. An opaque tape, an opaque paint, an opaque printing ink or any other suitable treatment is applied to an upper perimeter of the container portion to prevent light from passing through the container portion. At least one wall of the container is treated.
REFUSE COLLECTION APPARATUS
A refuse collection apparatus is disclosed. A refuse collection apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention a main body unit into which a refuse is inserted, a refuse compression unit installed in the main body unit and configured to compress the refuse inserted into the main body unit and a movement range detection unit located inside of the main body unit and configured to detect a movement range of the refuse compression unit.
Method and system for identifying a location of a container within a group of containers
Disclosed is a method for identifying location of a first container within a group of containers. Each container has an identification code and includes a sensor unit. The sensor unit includes communication means and a movement detector. The method includes at least a first sensor unit of the first container transmitting a first message including a first identification code of the first container, and at least one communication module receiving the first message. The at least one communication module analyzes the received first message, compares the received first identification code to a list of stored identification codes, updates the list of stored identification codes by addition of the first identification code when the first identification code is absent from the list, and transmits a second message to a server, the second message including the first identification code for the server to update the location of the first container.
Fluid Dispenser with Time of Flight Proximity Sensor
A hand cleaning fluid dispenser for dispensing fluid onto a user's hand includes a time of flight sensor to determine a distance of a hand of a user below an outlet of the dispenser from which the dispenser when activated dispenses the fluid and a controller to activate the dispenser to dispense the fluid from the outlet when the hand is sensed to be within a predetermined range of distances below the outlet.
METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY DETERMINING A FILLING LEVEL OF A PLASTIC BAG, AND A UNIT FOR PERFORMING SUCH A METHOD
The disclosure provides a method of automatically determining a filling level of a plastic bag fastened via an open end to a vertical post forming a support, the method comprising a step of detecting that the bag has reached a predetermined filling level by means of a first distance sensor positioned on the post, a step of measuring the distance of the bag relative to the post by means of a second distance sensor positioned on the post, step of detecting the presence of the bag fastened via an open end to the post by means of a third distance sensor positioned on the post, and a step of detecting a filling level on the basis of the measurements taken by the distance sensors. The disclosure also provides a unit for performing such a method.
ELECTRICALLY-POWERED WASTE ENCLOSURE
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling electrically-powered trash receptacles and monitoring fullness levels. The system can include a storage enclosure and a bin contained inside the storage enclosure, the bin configured to receive and store items deposited in the storage enclosure, wherein an inside portion of the bin is at least partially covered by a bag placed inside the bin to hold the items deposited in the storage enclosure. The system can also include a sensor configured to sense a content fullness state of the bin and a processor configured to control operations performed by the sensor. In addition, the system can include a sleeve configured to be installed over an inside portion of the bin and the bag, the sleeve at least partially restricting a movement of the bag.
TRASH COLLECTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for trash collection management. In an example embodiment, a dumpster monitoring apparatus may determine that an amount of garbage in a dumpster exceeds a threshold level (such as, for example, above a full-level marked on the dumpster). If the garbage exceeds the threshold level, the dumpster monitoring apparatus automatically transmits a request to a dumpster management apparatus to dispatch a garbage truck. In an example scenario, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may further determine that a current location of the dumpster is stationed is inaccessible to the garbage truck. Consequently, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may automatically transmit a request to a robot vehicle (such as robotic forklift) to move the dumpster from the current location to a new location that is accessible to the garbage truck. The dumpster monitoring apparatus may then inform the dumpster management apparatus of the new location.
