HOPPER APPARATUSES FOR PROCESSING A BULK SOLID, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A hopper apparatus comprises a movable wall comprising opposing walls movably connected to a support assembly and oriented at acute angles relative to a central vertical axis of the support assembly, and movement control devices configured and positioned to move the opposing walls along the support assembly to control dimensions of a discharge outlet at least partially defined by converging ends of the opposing walls; a liner assembly comprising liner structures at least partially overlying inner surfaces of the opposing walls and configured to remain at least partially stationary relative to the opposing walls during movement of the opposing walls; and pressure sensors between the inner surfaces of opposing walls and portions of the liner structures thereover. A bulk solids processing system and a method of processing a bulk solid are also described.

A concrete accessory for use with a ready mix chute comprises a funnel shaped hopper. The hopper has a wide upper opening of a size corresponding to that of a ready mix chute and tapering to a narrow lower opening. The hopper has a seamless inner surface and a pair of hollow aligned receptacles on opposite sides of the hopper and extending outwardly therefrom proximate the upper opening. An elongate rod has a length greater than the spacing between the aligned hollow receptacles to be received therein. A hanger assembly removably attaches the rod to a ready mix chute, in use, to support the hopper below the chute.

A chute apparatus for conveying objects by gravity inside a building from a higher story to a lower story includes one or more sets of discrete sections having passages forming an elongated conduit which pass through one or more floors of the building. Each set includes an intake section which has a tubular body having a first passage and a tapered portion having a second passage. The second passage decreases in transverse cross section in a given longitudinal direction and a passage of at least one other section in each set has a passage which increases in transverse cross-section. A terminal portion of at least one of the section is received within another section by an adjustable distance to accommodate variations in distance between adjacent floors of the building. Substantially the entirety of said two of the sections can be housed within the intake section during shipment.

DEBRIS CHUTE ASSEMBLY

A debris chute assembly for removing debris from a height during construction or similar activity includes a scaffold, a plurality of wall members, and a plurality of corner members. The wall members hang on ledgers of the scaffold in tubular sections which align with each other. The corner members attach to standards of the scaffold and retain the wall members in fixed positions with respect to the scaffold. Various embodiments of corner members are provided which attach to the scaffold by various fastening means.

Concrete mix separating device and method of use

A concrete mix separating device for generating cement slurry from a concrete mix includes a bar, which is insertable between adjacent sections of a concrete chute so that a gap is created between the adjacent sections. The bar is sized so that aggregate of a concrete mix, which passes through the concrete chute, is selectively excluded from passing through the gap. Cement slurry, which is substantially free of aggregate, is generated from the concrete mix and passes through the gap. A funnel is attached to the bar so that the funnel is positioned below the gap upon insertion of the bar between the adjacent sections of the concrete chute. The funnel directs the cement slurry into a receptacle, such as a bucket or a wheelbarrow, which is positioned below the funnel.
