Roller system having spaced apart external rotor motor
10093483 · 2018-10-09 ·

A roller system has a frame, a plurality of rollers (supported by the frame) forming a roller plane, and an external rotor motor (motor) spaced from the roller plane. As an external rotor motor, the motor has a stator and an external rotor radially outward of the stator to substantially circumscribe the stator. To kinetically couple the motor with the rollers, the system also has a transmission coupling coupled with the external rotor and at least one of the rollers. The transmission coupling and external rotor are configured so that rotation of the external rotor causes the at least one roller to rotate in response to a torque received through the transmission coupling.

Roller drive

A drive system for a motorized roller that includes a secondary stator external to the motorized roller. The outer shell of the motorized roller contains electrically conductive or magnetic material to form an induction, permanent-magnet, or reluctance motor with the secondary stator and boosts or bucks the torque of the motorized roller.

MOTOR UNIT AND CONVEYANCE DEVICE

Provided are a motor unit and a conveyance device. In a motor unit having a motor portion and a gear portion, the motor portion is formed by accommodating a most part of a drive motor in a housing member. The gear portion is formed by arranging at least a part of a drive gear and a plurality of small gear portions in a space surrounded by an inner tooth train portion, and the plurality of small gear portions is positioned around the drive gear in the space. Each of the plurality of small gear portions meshes with one of the drive gear and the inner tooth train portion, and each of the plurality of small gear portions rotates by rotation of the drive gear. At least a part of the gear portion is at a position overlapping the motor portion in plan view.

Zoned accumulation conveyor with electrical actuator and associated method

A belt drive assembly for driving at least one tread roller of a belt-driven live roller conveyor and associated methods are provided that uses an electrically actuated assembly to raise and lower a belt into and out of engagement with tread rollers to selectively transport or accumulate product. The assembly includes a stationary frame having a magnet and a movable frame having an attractant plate, or vice versa. The magnet may be an electromagnet or a solenoid. The movable frame is movable with respect to the stationary frame, such that when an electric current is applied to the magnet, the magnet and the attractant plate are magnetically drawn to each other and cause the movable frame to move towards a respective portion of the stationary frame to place the belt drive assembly in a driving configuration in which at least one tread roller of the conveyor in engaged.

PACKAGE SORTING TRANSFER MODULES AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREFOR

A transfer module assembly includes a frame, a conveyor belt with internal rotating elements, where the conveyor belt is supported by the frame, conveyor drive rollers supported by the frame and configured to drive the conveyor belt, a flat transfer belt mounted beneath the conveyor belt and configured to contact undersides of the internal rotating elements of the conveyor belt in operation, and flat transfer belt drive rollers supported by the frame and configured to drive the flat transfer belt. The conveyor drive rollers are friction-based and operate without use of a sprocket, and comprise depressions for receiving the internal rotating elements of the conveyor belt.
