The speaker is positioned adjacent the binding with less than an inch between the speaker and the binding. The speaker is also positioned directly on and contacting the ski-board.

Counter-rotating fin steering system for board sports
11617937 · 2023-04-04 ·

A steering system for a snowboard includes two binding interface pods, one of which may be active and one of which may be passive. Rotation or tilting of a top plate of the active binding interface pod in response to rotation or tilting of the rider's steering foot causes counter-rotation of a steering fin under the rider's steering foot. The passive binding interface pod is responsive via a linkage between the active and passive binding interface pods to cause rotation of a steering fin under the rider's non-steering foot. Coordinated counter-rotation of the steering fins causes the board to turn in the direction of rotation of the rider's steering foot when the steering fins are unaligned. Optionally, both binding pods may be active in steering, i.e. enabling two footed steering.

The present disclosure is directed to a ski instruction method including the use of a stabilizing assembly during the instruction. The stabilizing assembly may include a balance bike that may provide stability to a student skier during the ski instruction process. In some embodiments, the student skier may be in a seated position on the balance bike, while in other embodiments the student skier may be in a standing position while straddling the balance bike. During the ski instruction method, the balance bike's rear ski is used to demonstrate the fundamentals of edge movements, rotary movements, and/or pressure movements.

Portable Snowboard
20220296985 · 2022-09-22 ·

A portable snowboard with detachable parts includes a first planar section with a first member of an interconnecting joint, and a second planar section with a second member of the interconnecting joint. The first member of the interconnecting joint is detachably fastened to the second member of the interconnecting joint to engage the first planar section with the second planar section to form the portable snowboard. An anti-folding member, detachably attached between the first planar section and the second planar section, is coplanar in construction with the first planar section and the second planar section to prevent a relative folding between the first planar section and the second planar section. Multiple communication accessories are positioned on predefined sections of the first planar section and the second planar section for recording and transmitting information regarding a snowboarding session using the portable snowboard to a base station and/or a user device.

Protecting the edges of sports boards
20220105420 · 2022-04-07 ·

An edge protector for a sports board in the form of a bead of a resilient material having a cross-section comprising a central portion and, extending therefrom in one direction, a tapering impact-absorbing section and, extending from the central portion in the opposing direction, a pair of convergent leg sections for engaging an edge of the board. The central portion and the impact-absorbing section together form a triangular cross-section, which is particularly suited to receiving and dissipating an impact. The triangular section can be a hollow triangular section to reduce weight and tailor the impact response. One leg of the pair extends beyond the other leg to ease fitting. The bead is preferably formed by extrusion; silicone with a Shore A hardness of between 62 and 68 provides an ideal resilient material.
