Transport section of a packaging line as well as method for modifying a packaging line provided for articles or article sets

Disclosed is a system (1) for forming a transport section for a packaging line and for coordinating the transport section to individual articles or article sets with different packaging types. The system (1) comprises at least one module (3), which at least one module (3) has at least two individual module units (5, 7), which at least two individual module units (5, 7) cooperate in a first operating mode (B1) of the system (1) for the transport of individual articles or article sets provided for a first packaging type. It is furthermore provided that the at least two individual module units (5, 7) are each designed to be movable, and that the system (1) is transferable by way of a movement of the at least two individual module units (5, 7) into a second operating mode (B2), which is aligned to a transport of individual articles or article sets provided for a second packaging type that differs from the first packaging type.

Flexible Conveyor System

The present invention relates to a flexible conveyor system. The system includes a supply conveyor module and a receiver conveyor module. A hitch mechanism is provided for pivotally coupling the supply conveyor module to the receiver conveyor module about a pivot axis so that the receiver conveyor module receives conveyed material from the supply conveyor module proximal to the pivot axis. Advantageously, the receiver conveyor module receives conveyed material from the supply conveyor module proximal to the pivot axis which impedes spillage between the adjacent conveyor modules on very tight corners.

Pivoting conveyor

A material processing unit includes a main frame and a pivot assembly pivotally mounted to the frame. The pivot assembly is movable between a first pivot position, where a portion of the pivot assembly extends below the main frame, to a second pivot position, where the pivot assembly is generally above the main frame. The pivot assembly includes a mount platform that is below the main frame when the pivot assembly is in the first pivot position. The pivot assembly includes a slewing bearing mounted on the mount platform. The pivot assembly also includes a carrier mechanism that is rotatably mounted to the slewing bearing. The carrier mechanism is configured to be rotated generally parallel to the mount platform via the slewing bearing. The material processing unit includes a discharge conveyor that is pivotally mounted to the carrier mechanism.

CONVEYOR BELT UNIT WITH CONFIGURATION-CHANGING MECHANISM
20210229923 · 2021-07-29 ·

A conveyor belt unit (100) has a configuration-changing mechanism useful for switching between a ready-to-operate configuration and a not-ready-to-operate configuration. A specific embodiment uses a rotating joint element (150) with a thin material bridge (152) that defines a rotary axis. Used with a dynamic checkweigher, the conveyor belt unit has a carrier frame (110) and a belt body (130) connected to it. Rollers (132, 134) are arranged at the ends in transport direction (T) and contrary to the transport direction, with a conveyor belt (136) tensioned across the conveyor rollers. A motor drives the conveyor belt (136) by means of one of the rollers (132, 134). The configuration-changing mechanism is effective between the belt body and the carrier frame.
