PACKAGE LOADING AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
In the method of the present invention, first and second motorized endless belt conveyor assemblies are provided, one for placement in a package distribution center and the other for placement in the box of a delivery truck or van. Personnel at the distribution center load the conveyor of the first conveyor assembly with packages in a predetermined order corresponding to stops on a route. Subsequently, a delivery driver will back his vehicle up to the first conveyor assembly and activate the motorized conveyors of the two conveyor assemblies such that products on the first conveyor assembly will be transferred onto the conveyor assembly located in the vehicle in the stated predetermined order.
Conveyor belt arrangement of a material processing device
The invention relates to a conveyor belt arrangement of a material processing device having a conveyor belt (20) and a receiving and adjustment mechanism for adjusting the conveyor belt between a transport position and a working position. To this end, the conveyor belt is mounted on bearing elements (40, 60), which are rotatably connected to receiving elements (30, 50) of the receiving and adjusting mechanism. According to the invention, the receiving elements are each coupled to a pivot bearing each having a pivot axis (30.1, 50.1) for the pivotable attachment to the material processing device, and at least one bearing element is connected to the conveyor belt in a linearly adjustable manner, and/or between the conveyor belt and the pivot bearing of at least one receiving element, a compensating mechanism is provided, by means of which a spacing change between the bearing elements can be compensated for. The conveyor belt arrangement allows the simple adjustment of the conveyor belt of a material processing device between a working position and a transport position.

Chain conveyor and link for same
A link for a conveyor chain includes a first portion and a second portion laterally spaced apart from the first portion. The first portion includes a first sprocket-engaging pin, and the second portion includes a second sprocket-engaging pin. The first sprocket-engaging pin and the second sprocket-engaging pin protrude laterally away from one another. The first sprocket-engaging pin and the second sprocket-engaging pin may each have an oblong cross-section. At least one retainer can secure a connecting pin against movement relative to at least one of the first portion and the second portion, and each retainer can be positioned substantially within one of the first portion and the second portion.

CONVEYANCE EQUIPMENT
Conveyance equipment includes a first conveyor that conveys a tray on which an article can be placed along a first conveyance path, and a second conveyor that conveys the article along a second conveyance path provided above the first conveyance path. The second conveyor loads the article onto the tray conveyed by the first conveyor. In at least a part of the first conveyor, an upward inclined portion is formed to incline upward in a conveyance direction of the article.
MODULAR BASE FOR DRIVING CONVEYORS AND RELATED COMPONENTS
The various conveying embodiments disclosed are directed to systems, methods and components enabling extendible conveying mechanisms to reach into trailers and storage containers so that operators may safely and ergonomically load and unload objects such as packages, etc. The disclosed embodiments include a modular driving apparatus suitable for driving an extendible conveyor as well as supporting and moving an associated interface conveyor and configurable (e.g., width and height) operator platform. Also disclosed is a telescoping, bi-directional conveyor embodiment and a movable conveyor interface.
