Cover shield system for a telescopic conveyor

A cover shield system for a telescoping conveyor system and an associated telescoping conveyor are provided. The cover is extendable for covering a length of a telescoping portion of the conveyor system. A free end of the cover is connected to the telescoping portion at a far end. A shuttle assembly is biased to retract the cover for storage, for example by rolling the cover into the shuttle assembly under spring action. The shuttle assembly may be movably mounted to the telescoping portion of the conveyor system to allow relative movement of the shuttle assembly and the telescoping portion during telescopic extension/retraction of the conveyor system. The shuttle assembly is also anchored to the base portion at least during the telescopic extension. The cover may include reinforcement bars and/or connecting magnets. An idler roller may bias the cover toward the conveyor frame.

The belt has a conveying portion and a retreating portion movable through the conveyor system, each of the conveying portion and the retreating portion having an interior surface and an exterior surface, the exterior surface of the conveying portion configured to convey materials. The conveying portion of the belt is disposed within the conveying portion cover, the retreating portion of the belt disposed exteriorly of the conveying portion cover, and the conveying portion cover has a convex sliding surface and a tubular shape. The interior surface of the conveying portion of the belt is slidable along the sliding surface of the conveying portion cover.

A conveyor system includes a looped belt and a conveying portion cover. The belt has a conveying portion and a retreating portion movable through the conveyor system, each of the conveying portion and the retreating portion having an interior surface and an exterior surface, the exterior surface of the conveying portion configured to convey materials. The conveying portion of the belt is disposed within the conveying portion cover, the retreating portion of the belt disposed exteriorly of the conveying portion cover, and the conveying portion cover has a convex sliding surface and a tubular shape. The interior surface of the conveying portion of the belt is slidable along the sliding surface of the conveying portion cover.

Conveyer positioning system and method

A material-conveying system comprising a conveyor for conveying material to a bin and a conveyor positioning system associated with the conveyor. The conveyor positioning system comprises a processor for positioning the conveyor relative to the bin. The conveyor comprises a spout and the bin comprises an opening. The conveyor positioning system positions the spout of the conveyor over the opening of the bin. The conveyor positioning system in one implementation comprises a Global Navigation Satellite System-Real Time Kinematic (GNSS-RTK) positioning system that includes a fixed base station and a GNSS receiver on the conveyor.

It embodies the four functional modules, Layboy Function, Shingling Function, Stacking Function and Hopper Function. These four functions are embodied such that it has the advantages of a fixed position Hopper Function and still provides Die Board Access, Running Layboy Roll Out and Sample Sheets.

A swing conveyor that is segmented. In one embodiment, the swing conveyor comprises an incline section that pivotally connects to an intake of a main conveyor, and includes a first belt. The swing conveyor further comprises an intake section that receives a flow of material via a second belt, and transfers the flow of material to the incline section. The first belt of the incline section transfers the flow of material received from the intake section to the intake of the main conveyor. The intake section connects to the incline section via a hinge mechanism so that the intake section pivots in relation to the incline section.

GUIDE SYSTEM FOR CONVEYORS

A guide system for an extendable conveyor that conveys a product includes a bracket configured to be coupled to the conveyor such that the bracket moves with the conveyor as the conveyor is moved into different positions. A guide member having a leading end that is coupled to the bracket and a trailing end that is configured to be coupled to the conveyor at a position spaced apart from the bracket. The guide member is configured to guide the product along the conveyor, and as the conveyor is moved, the guide member extends or retracts.
