METERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A METERING APPARATUS

The disclosure relates to a metering apparatus for free-flowing material and to a method for operating such a metering apparatus. The metering apparatus has a metering duct having a closed cross section and further has a rotary drive (M). The metering duct is wound in the form of a screw with a vertical longitudinal axis. The free-flowing material is fed to the metering duct. The metering duct is set via the rotary drive (M) in an oscillating rotary motion about its longitudinal axis with individual rotary strokes, wherein, with each rotary stroke, a partial quantity of the free-flowing material falls out of a lower discharge opening of the metering duct.

Rotating drum for gravity feeding material into its interior

The object of the present invention relates to a rotating drum for infeeding material by gravity to its interior, which can be used both inside a vessel that could be subjected to pressure or not, such as for example for the treatment of solid waste with water vapour, and externally for all types of equipment that require infeeding material to a rotating drum for the transportation and tumbling thereof, wherein due to the special configuration thereof it does not require an independent device for infeeding material to the rotating drum.

Convertible dual-sided auger system for a farm implement

A farm implement includes a frame, a container mounted on the frame, an intake housing rotatably connected to a front wall of the container proximate to a discharge opening, a first auger assembly, and a second auger assembly. The first auger assembly is disposed in the container and conveys agricultural material through the discharge opening. The second auger assembly is rotatably connected to an outlet of the intake housing and includes an inlet that receives agricultural material from the intake housing and an outlet that discharges agricultural material. The farm implement further includes a first mounting assembly and a second mounting assembly disposed along the front wall. The second auger assembly is mounted on one of the first and second mounting assemblies at an operating position, without being mounted to the other one of the first and second mounting assemblies.

Auger cover

An auger cover for an auger conveyor for a grain bin of a combine harvester includes a cover plate that is hingedly attached to the auger conveyor. The hinge attaching the cover plate to the auger conveyor has a hinge plate that includes a flexible material.

A filter unit is connected between a tray and a discharging duct of a spiral conveyor. The filter unit includes a first filter (perforated metal) that is fixed at a position close to the outer periphery of a conveying spiral, and a second filter (mesh filter) that rotates on the outside of the conveying spiral and the first filter. A washing nozzle sprays a washing liquid on the second filter. The chips captured by the first filter are scraped by the rotating conveying spiral and delivered back to the conveying path and the chips passing through the first filter but captured by the second filter are removed by the washing nozzle and delivered back to the conveying path. The washing liquid is sprayed at a predetermined angle from the washing nozzle and collides with vanes arranged on the outer periphery of the second filter and provides rotational force on the second filter.
