SYSTEM FOR CLEANING MODULAR BELTS
The invention relates to a system for cleaning modular belts, characterized in that it comprises a support structure configured to be mounted and dismounted from the structure of a modular-belt conveyor, wherein a plurality of cleaning stations are mounted on the support structure, said cleaning stations consisting of: (a) a first surface cleaning station consisting of at least one roller with cleaning flaps disposed crosswise on the modular belt; (b) a cleaning preparation station consisting of at least one transverse duct disposed in an elevated manner with a plurality of ejection nozzles distributed along the length of the at least one duct and along the width of the modular belt in order to sprinkle water in the form of a spray directly on the modular belt; (c) a pre-cleaning station comprising a system of at least one self-adjustable plastic scraper; (d) a second surface cleaning station consisting of at least one pair of rollers with cleaning flaps, one being placed on the upper part of the modular belt and the other on the lower part thereof; (e) a deep-cleaning and sanitization station consisting of a system of rotary steam-spraying heads connected to a dry steam generator; and (f) a station for drying with warm air, formed by at least two air turbines with an elevated transverse diffuser.
INTERNAL WASHING PROVISIONS FOR FOOD PROCESS LINE MACHINES
Food process-line coating apparatus for coating a stream of food product in a food process line are provided with the improvement of a permanently-installed internal cleaning-fluid circuit and a plurality cleaning-fluid distribution devices. The cleaning-fluid distribution devices are any of a rotary spray head, a spherical spray nozzle, a rotary frame or a tubular (cylindrical) rotary manifold. The rotary spray head optionally has a multitude of flat spray nozzles mounted along the arms. The spherical spray nozzle might be mounted on a columnar base, and a plurality of those might stand like pickets and aimed a laterally-extending target, like a conveyor belt's nose roller. The rotary frame might have a spaced pair of parallel manifold tubes that rotate about a common axis. The tubular (cylindrical) rotary manifold preferably has a multitude of ports or nozzles distributed at spaced locations on its outer sidewall.
APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED APPLICATION OF A SOLUTION ONTO A CONVEYOR BELT
Checkout conveyor belts can become contaminated with a variety of bacteria and pathogens. Manual disinfection of the conveyor belt is time consuming and results in excess wetness. The invention is an apparatus for automated application of a disinfectant solution to a checkout conveyor belt. The apparatus includes an elongate applicator, a contact surface, an internal elongate cavity, and a solution delivery assembly. The applicator mounts to an end of the belt housing and spans the width of the belt. The contact surface contacts the outward facing surface of the belt. A dispensing tube evenly distributes a flow of disinfectant solution to the cavity of the applicator adjacent the contact surface. The solution delivery assembly delivers a flow of disinfectant solution to the dispensing tube. A cover assembly urges the contact surface of the applicator against the outward facing surface of the belt and covers non-belt contacting surfaces of the applicator.
