Methods and apparatuses for performing article singulation
Methods and apparatuses for performing article singulation are provided. An article singulator can include an intake conveyor, an out-take conveyor, and multiple intermediate conveyors. The intake conveyor can receive multiple articles and convey the articles to the multiple intermediate conveyors. Further, the out-take conveyor may convey singulated articles from amongst the multiple articles (e.g. to an outfeed). Further, the multiple intermediate conveyors may include successive conveyors to convey the articles and provide the singulated articles to the out-take conveyor. In some examples, each successive conveyor of the multiple intermediate conveyors may be positioned at a lower level than a preceding conveyor. Further, each successive conveyor can convey the articles in a different direction and at a different speed than a preceding conveyor such that the articles are singulated upon conveyance by the article singulator.
Conveyor system for conveying food products and associated operating method
The invention concerns a conveyor system (2) for formatting slice-shaped food products in product stacks. The conveyor system (2) comprises an inlet (4), a lower product conveyor (8), an upper product conveyor (7, 9), a vertically swivelling distributor conveyor (6) for distributing the incoming food products selectively to the lower product conveyor (8) or to the upper product conveyor (7, 9), an output conveyor (10) receiving the food products partially stacked from the lower prod-uct conveyor (8) and the upper product conveyor (7, 9), and an outlet (11) for outputting the stacked food products in product rows. The invention provides that the individual conveying tracks (6G, 6H) of the distributor conveyor (6) can be swivelled vertically independently of one another in order to forward the incoming food products individually for each conveying track selectively to the lower product conveyor (8) or to the upper product conveyor (7, 9). The invention also includes a corresponding operating method.
Conveying device
A conveying device including a frame, a transportation channel, and a branch conveying mechanism, the transportation channel and the branch conveying mechanism are driven by their respective driving units, and the transportation channel is provided with a number of rows of regular rollers, or at least a conveyor belt, or a combination of regular rollers and a conveyor belt, the branch conveying mechanism includes at least one group of irregular rollers, when the irregular roller rotates, the highest point of a top of the roller is higher than an upper surface of an adjacent transportation channel during the rotation, and the lowest place of a top horizontal plane of the roller is lower than the upper surface of the adjacent transportation channel; when the irregular roller does not rotate, the top of the roller substantially stops at the lowest place of the top horizontal plane of the roller during rotation; the transportation channel and the branch conveying mechanism are provided alternately.

Switch device
The present disclosure relates to a switch device for a transfer point between a first and a second rotatable star wheel, at which transfer point objects can be transferred selectively from the first star wheel to the second star wheel. The switch device includes a base in the region of the transfer point for supporting the objects transported by the star wheels; a first and a second wall portion that extend in the region of the transfer point; a drive mechanism for driving the movement of the wall portions; and a control means for actuating the drive mechanism. The first and the second wall portions are individually vertically movable by the at least one drive mechanism.

Diverging/merging device for conveying equipment
A transportation equipment branch convergence device has a curving transportation device that tangentially connects to a straight track anchored at a fixed height so as to transport an object along the entirety of a curving track at the same level as the straight track. The straight track comprises a straight track section of a fixed length encompassing an entire area of overlap with the curving transportation device. A straight transportation device constituting this straight track section of fixed length comprises a vertical transportation mechanism that slopes in the vertical direction with pivot points at both ends of the straight track section. When the vertical transportation mechanism is in a downward sloping state, the straight transportation device is retracted beneath the transported object for transport. When the vertical transportation mechanism is in an upward sloping state, the transported object for transport passes over the curving transportation device.
