Item singulation systems using vision systems to transfer columns of items to downstream conveyors

Item singulation systems and methods may include an input conveyor, a vision system, and an output conveyor that receives items from the input conveyor. The vision system may determine individual columns of items from among a plurality of items on the input conveyor. Operations of the input conveyor and output conveyor may be controlled substantially as a pull system to transfer individual columns of items to the output conveyor, such that singulated items can be transferred by the output conveyor to downstream processes.

BAGGAGE AND PARCEL HANDLING SYSTEM AND METHOD

Described herein are systems and methods for baggage or parcel handling. The system includes an automated bag unloading cell, a container roller deck positioned in the automated unloading cell. The container roller deck includes a roller deck base and a deck frame. The deck frame can selectively support and transfer a container housing a bag or parcel. The deck frame can selectively rotate about a deck frame axis of rotation relative to the roller deck base. The deck frame is operable to selectively release the bag or parcel from the container. The container roller deck can also include an index table in communication with the deck frame. The index table can be operable to receive the bag or parcel released from the container. The index table can include at least one index table conveyor operable to selectively advance the bag or parcel from the index table to a first transfer device.

System having robotic workstation

An apparatus is disclosed including a robotic system having a robotic picking workstation, tote storage and retrieval and transit decks. The system has bots that autonomously transport totes from the storage and retrieval system to the robotic picking workstation via the transit decks. The robotic picking workstation may have a picking lane where a robotic handler transports eaches from totes on the bots to order totes in the workstation. The robotic picking workstation further has a queuing buffer where bots are cued for the picking lane.

Diversion device for products

The disclosure relates to a diversion device for a transport device for transporting products. The diversion device comprises a first element mounted to be rotatable about a first axis of rotation and a second element mounted to be rotatable about a second axis of rotation, where the axes of rotation form an angle with one another and the first and the second elements overlap in a region so that the first and the second elements enclose a diversion region. A product supplied to the diversion region can be diverted in the diversion region by rotating the first and the second elements and can exit the diversion device after having passed the diversion region due to mass inertia.

Method for varying the spatial arrangement of products

A method is disclosed for varying a spatial arrangement of randomly arranged, stacked or piled products, particularly to rearrange the products in a way that makes automated handling thereof possible. The method relies on a plurality of subsequent conveyors extending between a product input and a product output, wherein at least one of a conveyor speed a conveyor direction and a conveyor height of a conveyor of the plurality is offset from, respectively, the conveyor speed the conveyor direction, and the conveyor height of a subsequent conveyor in the plurality.

Sorting Device And Method For Sorting Bulk Material
20170361356 · 2017-12-21 ·

A sorting device and a method for sorting bulk material. In order to be able to load a sorting facility of the sorting device with just one feeding facility with bulk material such that the sorting facility can be operated with a high throughput, provision is made for the sorting facility and the feeding facility to be arranged so as to run in parallel with one another in a transfer area. In the transfer area, bulk material is transferred from the feeding facility to the sorting facility.

Diverting equipment

Diverting equipment that diverts and transports an article on a transporting route to a branching route. The diverting equipment includes: multiple transport rollers that are arranged in a branching section which is on the transporting route and which branches toward the branching route, and that are rotatable about vertical shafts; multiple diverting transport rollers that are arranged at an upstream side end of the branching route and that can rotate about vertical shafts; and a general controller that controls rotation of the transport rollers and of the diverting transport rollers. The transport rollers and the diverting transport rollers divert and transport the article from the transporting route to the branching route by rotating based on a rotational timing that the general controller controls according to a transport speed and an acceleration/deceleration state of the article that is transported toward the branching section.

Automated vial feed system and method for automated prescription fulfillment
09845201 · 2017-12-19 · ·

An automated vial feed system for an automated prescription filling system. The system has a plurality of sensors located above a vial distribution table for controlling the pace of vial delivery to the table. The sensors determine the load of vials on the table and a control system uses the information as feedback to the vial delivery system.

CONVEYOR SYSTEM FOR CONVEYING FOOD PRODUCTS AND ASSOCIATED OPERATING METHOD
20220380149 · 2022-12-01 ·

The invention concerns a conveyor system for formatting slice-shaped food products in product stacks. The conveyor system includes an inlet, a lower product conveyor, an upper product conveyor, a vertically swiveling distributor conveyor for distributing the incoming food products selectively to the lower product conveyor or to the upper product conveyor, an output conveyor receiving the food products partially stacked from the lower product conveyor and the upper product conveyor, and an outlet for outputting the stacked food products in product rows. The individual conveying tracks of the distributor conveyor can be swivelled vertically independently of one another in order to forward the incoming food products individually for each conveying track selectively to the lower product conveyor onto the upper product conveyor.
