A vacuum-type powder transfer system capable of quantitatively supplying a constant amount of powder in a wide range from a small amount to a large amount, and a vacuum-type powder transfer method using the vacuum-type powder transfer system are disclosed. In an aspect, the vacuum-type powder transfer system includes a storage part configured to store powder, one or more chamber parts configured to accommodate the powder transferred from the storage part, a hopper part disposed to control fluid communication with the one or more chamber parts, and configured to accommodate the powder transferred from the storage part, and a vacuum pressure forming part configured to provide vacuum pressure to the one or more chamber parts, wherein the powder is split and supplied to the one or more chamber parts or the hopper part.

Solids trans-loading
A method and system for trans-loading solid particulates from a hopper to a storage container, by clamping a trough (110) to a discharge gate of the hopper, the trough having an open top, sides, and a bottom, a vacuum pipe (140) extending into the trough, and at least one aerator (150) located on the trough, to which is provided an aerating gas. The method further comprises at least partially evacuating the storage container to cause at least a partial vacuum therein and drawing a vacuum through a conveyor hose connected to the trough.
Solids trans-loading
A method and system for trans-loading solid particulates from a hopper to a storage container, by clamping a trough (110) to a discharge gate of the hopper, the trough having an open top, sides, and a bottom, a vacuum pipe (140) extending into the trough, and at least one aerator (150) located on the trough, to which is provided an aerating gas. The method further comprises at least partially evacuating the storage container to cause at least a partial vacuum therein and drawing a vacuum through a conveyor hose connected to the trough.
BUILD MATERIAL LOADING
A processing station (2) is provided for receiving a build unit (4) of an additive manufacturing system. The processing station (2) has a flow pathway (12) for build material. The flow pathway has a first end 14) connected to a valve arrangement (10) and a second end (16) configured to releasably connect with a build unit (4). The valve arrangement (10) is selectively movable between a first configuration, in which the second end (16) is in fluid communication with a vacuum pump (8) of the processing station, and a second configuration, in which the second end (16) is in fluid communication with a build material reservoir (6) of the processing station.
Cargo handling method
A method of handling bulk cargo, including suspending, with a spreader of a container crane, a cargo handling system above a dock where a ship loaded with bulk cargo lands, the cargo handling system including a frame having an engaging portion engageable with the spreader of the container crane, a blower attached to the frame and configured to suck air, and a separator attached to the frame and configured to separate bulk cargo sucked along with the air from the air sucked by the blower. While the cargo handling system is suspended above the dock, using the cargo handling system to suck up the bulk cargo from the ship with the blower of the cargo handling system together with the air; separate the bulk cargo from the air with the separator of the cargo handling system; and discharge the separated bulk cargo from the cargo handling system.
Cargo handling method
A method of handling bulk cargo, including suspending, with a spreader of a container crane, a cargo handling system above a dock where a ship loaded with bulk cargo lands, the cargo handling system including a frame having an engaging portion engageable with the spreader of the container crane, a blower attached to the frame and configured to suck air, and a separator attached to the frame and configured to separate bulk cargo sucked along with the air from the air sucked by the blower. While the cargo handling system is suspended above the dock, using the cargo handling system to suck up the bulk cargo from the ship with the blower of the cargo handling system together with the air; separate the bulk cargo from the air with the separator of the cargo handling system; and discharge the separated bulk cargo from the cargo handling system.
System for conveying proppant to a fracking site hopper
A proppant delivery assembly receives and supports a plurality of containers having proppant stored therein. A cradle has a top surface which receives and supports the plurality of containers when positioned thereon. The cradle enables the plurality of containers to dispense the proppant stored therein. A proppant mover is positioned to underlie and extend along the top surface of the cradle aligned with the plurality of containers to receive proppant from the plurality of containers. The proppant mover carries proppant away from the plurality of containers. A chute is coupled to the cradle for receiving proppant from the proppant mover and directing the proppant to a blender hopper. A hood assembly is disposed at an end of the chute opposite the proppant mover for directing a vacuum air flow that removes a volume of air containing proppant dust particles directed from the chute. The hood assembly includes a curtain extending about a perimeter of the hood assembly and downward therefrom to at least partially define the volume of air being removed by the hood assembly.
