The exhaust system further includes a passage fluidly coupled between the first media screen and the diffuser. The passage is configured to selectively guide the air flow from the first media screen toward the diffuser.

Due to the specific curvatures of the cylindrical housing part and the specific arrangement of several flow control elements as well as the associated interaction of the undisturbed laminar gas/material stream with the separation of the individual fractions in the interior of the housing, a compact design of the device as well as a high degree of separation can be achieved.

The seed metering system is operable in a first mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each singulating meter via the dispersion unit to singulate the plurality of seeds. The seed metering system is operable in a second mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each bypass conduit via the dispersion unit such that the plurality of seeds are not singulated.

The material is conveyed in a first stage from the input point to a conveying pipe, into a container space of an intermediate container arranged between the input point and the separator device by a suction/pressure difference provided by the partial vacuum generator in a first time period, and the material conveyed into the container space of the intermediate container is conveyed by a suction/pressure difference provided by the partial-vacuum generator to the separator device.
