Apparatus for adapting a snowboard boot for use with an alpine ski
An adjustable ski binding adapter apparatus that adapt a snowboard boot for use with alpine ski bindings. The ski binding adapter apparatus includes a back support pivotally coupled to a sole plate, where the back support pivots to aid in stepping into the ski binding adapter apparatus. The sole plate is adjustable for length. Adjustable strap assemblies are coupled to the sole plate and the back support and snugly encircle and restrain the boot in the ski binding adapter apparatus. The back support and the sole plate are configured to conform to ski boot standards and attach to a conventional ski binding.
SKI BOOT AND SKI
A ski boot (1) includes a base frame (2) for receiving a foot of a skier; a rigid sole (3) connected to the base frame (2); a shaft (4) for receiving a lower leg part of the skier, the shaft (4) being angularly variably connected to the base frame (2); and a traction element (12). The traction element is attached to the sole (3) and/or in a toe area of the base frame (2) and extends from there to a heel area of the sole (3). In the heel area, the traction element (12) is deflected towards the shaft (4) and is then attached to the shaft (4). By inclining the shaft (4) towards a toe region, the traction element (12) can be tensioned and, in particular, traction can be exerted on the sole (3) and/or the toe region.
MECHANISM FOR LOCKING LONGITUDINALLY A SKI-BINDING ON A MOUNTING PLATE
Provided is a locking mechanism for a ski-binding, the locking mechanism comprising only one lever adapted to be pivoted between an engaged and a disengaged position. The lever further comprises at least one lug, the at least one lug adapted to engage with a notch formed in a mounting plate in an engaged position, and wherein the lug is adapted to hold the lever in a non-sliding manner when engaged with the notch. Explicitly, the locking mechanism does not comprise a second lever. Also provided is a ski-binding comprising only one locking mechanism, or adapted to receiving only one locking mechanism, and a mounting plate for use with the locking mechanism, and ski-binding.
Bearing Structure With A Pronounced Upward Arch
The invention relates to a combination of a downhill binding or downhill ski binding, in particular a front jaw of the downhill binding, and a ski boot. The ski boot (10) comprises a rigid ski boot shell (11) and a sole (1) of the ski boot comprising a front end (1b) of the sole, a rear end of the sole, an upper side (1a) of the sole and a lower side (1c) of the sole. The downhill binding comprises a front jaw (20) and a rear jaw, wherein the downhill binding comprises a bearing structure (2) for the sole (1) of the ski boot. The bearing structure (2) has an apex (5) which has a distance (X1), in the longitudinal direction (X), from the front end (1b) of the sole held in the downhill binding of at least 28 mm and at most 34 mm, and wherein the apex (5) exhibits a perpendicular distance (Y2) from the upper side (1a) of the sole of the ski boot held in the downhill binding of 19 mm2 mm in at least one point.
SKI BINDING
Ski binding (1) comprising a toe binding (2) and a heel binding (3), configured to be operatively associated to a ski (100) at a upper surface (101) of said ski, and a blocking and adjusting mechanism (4), reversibly actuatable by the user, by means of an operation lever, between a blocking position, at which said toe binding and said heel binding are solidly connected to said ski in a fixed position, and a release position, at which said toe binding and said heel binding are free to slide with respect to said ski.
Toe unit for alpine touring binding
An apparatus is provided for holding a footwear toe to a snow travel aid. The apparatus comprises jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of the footwear about the toe in forward and rearward directions and is for use with a heel holder that provides for lateral release. The apparatus comprises one or more resilient elements for biasing the jaws whereby the jaws are biased towards a closed position throughout the operational range of motion of the jaws. Also provided is an apparatus which comprises jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of footwear about the toe, wherein the apparatus is adapted for generally horizontal, forward and rearward translation relative to a longitudinal axis of the snow travel aid, selectively by a user. Also provided is an apparatus comprising jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of footwear about the toe, and a lock for inhibiting opening of the jaws, the lock comprising one or more resilient elements which provide resilience while inhibiting opening of the jaws.
