BULK MATERIAL SHIPPING CONTAINER UNLOADER

An unloader for a shipping container includes a supporter having a frame structure and a pallet base supported by the frame structure and configured to receive the pallet and support the shipping container in an elevated position. A gate moving mechanism is supported by the pallet base and configured to engage the moveable gate assembly when the full shipping container is positioned onto the pallet base. A material director has a first end located beneath the pallet base subjacent of the gate moving mechanism. The material director extends downwardly from the pallet base and terminates at a second end opposite the first end. Bulk material is dispensed from the shipping container into the first end and is discharged from the second end of the material director. Shipping containers may be positioned onto and removed from the pallet base without disassembly of the unloader.

A mobile waste storage device is disclosed. The mobile waste storage device includes a storage body and a pair of cover sections. The storage body includes a waste receiving space and a plurality of body fastener receiving passageways. The pair of cover sections is flexibly attached to the storage body and is extendable over each other when covering the waste receiving space. Each cover section includes a cover fastener receiving passageway extending through an end thereof and positioned to correspond with another cover fastener receiving passageway extending through an opposite cover section and one of the plurality of body fastener receiving passageways when the pair of cover sections overlap to cover the waste receiving space.

System and method for robotic palletization of packages susceptible to package-to-package dimensional creep

A system and associated method for palletizing fluid filled flexible packages. The system includes a platform, a distance sensor, a robotic arm palletizer and a controller. The platform is configured and arranged with a support surface for supporting a fluid filled flexible package. The distance sensor is disposed above the support surface of the platform and faces downward towards the support surface for taking distance readings. The robotic arm palletizer is operable for palletizing fluid filled flexible packages according to a preprogrammed stacking protocol that includes a drop-off height dimension. The controller is in electrical communication with the distance sensor and the robotic arm for establishing or adjusting the drop-off height dimension based upon distance readings from the distance sensor.

An apparatus (600) for use in unpacking or packing shipping containers (700) includes at least one barrier part which provides a barrier to wheeled powered material handling equipment (1105). The barrier part can be positioned substantially transversely across an interior of a shipping container (700) at a desired position along the length of the interior of the shipping container, to provide a working area (1120) within the shipping container in which personnel may work on foot, and substantially impede or prevent entry of wheeled powered material handling equipment into the working area. The apparatus may be provided with an arrangement to substantially maintain its location in the desired position against forces resulting from impact by the powered material handling equipment operating within the shipping container.
