Method of securing and transferring a load between a vessel and an offshore installation and an apparatus therefor
The offshore jack-up has a hull and a plurality of moveable legs engageable with the seafloor. The offshore jack-up is arranged to move the legs with respect to the hull to position the hull out of the water. The method comprises moving at least a portion of a vessel underneath the hull of the offshore jack-up or within a cut-out of the hull when the hull is positioned out of the water and the legs engage the seafloor. A stabilizing mechanism mounted on the jack-up is engaged against the vessel. The stabilizing mechanism is pushed down on the vessel to increase the buoyant force acting on the vessel.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LIFTING AN OBJECT FROM A DECK OF A VESSEL SUBJECT TO MOVEMENTS
Described is a device for lifting an object from a deck of a vessel subject to movements in a heave direction. The device comprises a support surface (6a) for the object provided at a first height (11) in the heave direction relative to the deck. A lifting crane (5) is configured to take up the object from the support surface (6a) at a lifting point thereof at a lifting speed. An actuator system (16) is configured to lower the support surface (6a) relative to the deck at the instant in time at which the object is lifted from the surface to a second height in the heave direction at a lowering speed. A method using the device is also described.

Loading Arm Device
A loading arm device, serving in particular for loading fluids, including a main arm supported by a base station. An external arm is pivotally connected with the main arm. Further, the rear part of the main arm is connected with a counter-weight arm. A coupling element guarantees that at different swivel positions, the counter-weight arm is arranged parallel to the external arm. Further, switching elements are provided to trigger a switching operation at a maximum scissors angle between the main arm and the external arm. One of the switching elements is fixedly connected with the counter-weight arm or the external arm, and the other switching element is rotatably connected with the main arm.
SYSTEMS FOR TRANSFERRING A FLUID TO AND/OR FROM A VESSEL AND PROCESSES FOR USING SAME
Fluid transfer systems and processes for using same. In some embodiments, the system can include a mooring structure, a fluid swivel disposed on the mooring structure, and first and second subsea conduits configured to provide fluid communication between first and second pipelines and first and second flow paths defined by the swivel, respectively. The system can also include first and second surface conduits that can provide fluid communication between a vessel storage tank and the first and second flow paths defined by the swivel, respectively. The system can also include a crossover conduit configured to provide fluid communication between (i) the first and second surface conduits, (ii) the first and second subsea conduits, or (iii) the first subsea conduit and an optional third pipeline. The system can transfer a fluid having a boiling point that is less than an ambient temperature at atmospheric pressure to or from the storage tank.
