A method for feeding products of the tobacco industry, particularly snus, from a production machine to a packaging machine, includes making the products advance along an advancement direction; and feeding to the packaging machine groups of products(S) having a predetermined number of products; wherein this feeding of groups of products includes: in a position for receiving the products, placing the products inside containers that are brought to the receiving position one after another, by depositing a predetermined number of products inside each container, so as to form, inside each container, a group of products of predetermined number; and transporting the containers containing the formed groups of products to a position for delivery of the products to the packaging machine.

There is disclosed a separator drum (13) for tobacco industry product assembly apparatus. The separator drum has a plurality of segments (29, 30) arranged to form at least a part of a peripheral surface of the separator drum. Each segment has at least one flute (31) and at most four flutes (31). Each flute (31) is adapted to carry a rod of aerosolisable material (2) as the separator drum rotates during use. A bead delivery disk, system and method of delivering flavor beads to a tobacco rod or tow including a bead source, a bead delivery disk in communication with the bead source, including a central disk portion having front and back sides and a first central thickness, an inner annular rim around the central disk portion, the inner annular rim having a second thickness less than said first thickness, a series of pockets spaced around the inner annular rim and multiple vacuum transmission apertures located on one side of the disk, each aperture communicating with at least one of the pockets.

A feed apparatus for automatically feeding casings for smoking articles toward a transport member includes a feed unit disposed in a position above the transport member and configured to temporarily support the casings before they are fed to the transport member below, and a conveyor unit interposed between the feed unit and the transport member to selectively pick up the casings from the feed unit and send them to the transport member.

The object of the application is a transfer disc (2) for the transferring of tobacco industry's rod-like articles (5) provided with lugs (3), where the disc is characterized in that a front surface (3A) of the lug (3) is inclined in a direction corresponding to the direction (T1) of rotation of the transfer disc (2), and the lug (3) is configured so that it hits a rod-like article (5) above the longitudinal axis (X) of the rod-like article (5).
