At least one radial wall and/or the peripheral wall includes a depression and/or an elevation to reduce a contact area between a small piece good and the channel wall, the shape and size of the depression/elevation being selected in such a way that an electrostatic attraction between the small piece good and the channel wall is reduced.

A rotor (4) is received rotatably in a cassette body (3) for receiving tablets. The rotor comprises a tablet guiding path (4b) formed between a slanted inner face (6a) of the cassette body and a slanted outer face (22a) of the rotor for guiding the tablets received in the cassette body to a tablet discharging hole (7) disposed to the cassette body. The rotor comprises a separating member (8) disposed above the tablet discharging hole of the cassette body for separating a space between a tablet at a bottom position and a tablet at an upper position, a tablet supporting pedestal (53) disposed elevatably to the tablet guiding path for supporting the tablet at the bottom position in the tablet guiding path and a height adjustment mechanism (50) for adjusting a tablet discharging height between the tablet supporting pedestal and the separating member. The height adjustment mechanism makes the tablet supporting pedestal elevate to a direction inclined to a rotation shaft of the rotor along the tablet guiding path.

A rotor (4) is received rotatably in a cassette body (3) for receiving tablets. The rotor comprises a tablet guiding path (4b) formed between a slanted inner face (6a) of the cassette body and a slanted outer face (22a) of the rotor for guiding the tablets received in the cassette body to a tablet discharging hole (7) disposed to the cassette body. The rotor comprises a separating member (8) disposed above the tablet discharging hole of the cassette body, a tablet supporting pedestal (53) disposed elevatably to the tablet guiding path for supporting the tablet at the bottom position in the tablet guiding path and a height adjustment mechanism (50) for adjusting a tablet discharging height between the tablet supporting pedestal and the separating member. The height adjustment mechanism makes the tablet supporting pedestal elevate to a direction inclined to a rotation shaft of the rotor along the tablet guiding path.

An apparatus and a transfer process for articles are presented. The articles are transferred without risk of damage when gripped by pincer grip devices, regardless of article shape and gripping manner. The apparatus includes a first transport device, having pincer grip devices, moving along a first closed path, each having pincer claws projecting outward from the first closed path. The pincer claws are movable from a gripping position to a release position. The apparatus also includes a second transport device, having tray-like elements moving along a respective second closed path and configured to receive respective articles resting thereon. The first and second transport devices cooperate with each other at one or two exchange segments where the first closed path is superimposed on said second closed path and where the articles transported in the pincer grip devices are laid on tray-like elements and/or removed therefrom.

A pharmaceutical order processing system for processing a plurality of pharmaceutical containers includes a container repository, a container selector, an order consolidator transporter and an order consolidator. The container repository supports the pharmaceutical containers. The container selector has a picker to pick the pharmaceutical containers from the pharmaceutical container repository. The container selector includes a carriage supporting the picker and movable relative to the container repository to move the picker around the container repository. The order consolidator receives the pharmaceutical containers and places the pharmaceutical containers in a shipping package. The order consolidator transporter receives the pharmaceutical containers after they have been picked by the picker and transports the pharmaceutical containers toward the order consolidator.

A method for dispensing discrete medicaments with a dispensing device includes the steps of predicting a depletion time in the future when the medicaments in the container of a first feeder unit of the plurality of feeder units will be depleted or are past their expiry date; providing a notification ahead of said depletion time that a second feeder unit holding medicaments with the same composition as the first feeder unit needs to be presented to the dispensing device, together with a due time for presenting said second feeder unit to the dispensing device; and continuing the dispensing of the medicaments from the first feeder unit at least until the due time.

A method for dispensing discrete medicaments with a first feeder unit includes the steps of determining a remaining value indicative of the amount of the medicaments remaining in the container; comparing said remaining value to a threshold value; making a selection between a complete empty detection mode when said remaining value is above the threshold value and a shortened empty detection mode when the remaining value is below the threshold value; and executing the selected one of the complete empty detection mode and the shortened empty detection mode when no medicament is fed from the container towards the outlet after controlling the dispensing mechanism to feed a medicament from the container into the outlet.

A method may include filling an order of a plurality of orders with a dosing filler system. The method may include receiving pharmaceutical orders including order for drugs used in multi-drug regimens using an order processing device. The method may include transporting containers to a dosing device, using the dosing device to dispense drugs for scheduled dosing events into the containers based on the received pharmaceutical orders, transporting the containers with the dispensed drugs to the container sealing device, using the container sealing device to seal the plurality of the containers with the dispensed drugs, transporting the dosage unit containers to the container identifier assembly, and using the container identifier assembly to identify the dosage unit containers based on the received pharmaceutical order.
