ARTICLE TRANSPORT FACILITY
An article transport facility includes a main conveyor device and induction conveyors. The main conveyor device includes belt conveyors and carriage bodies. The induction conveyor includes a first conveyor device for loading article onto a second transport path and a second conveyor device that is provided for an article-loading position on a transport path and loads the article onto the belt conveyor. The first conveyor device adjusts the timing of loading the article to the article-loading position, by controlling the timing of loading the article onto the second conveyor device. The second conveyor device adjusts, on the belt conveyors, loading position of the article loaded onto the belt conveyor by controlling the timing of loading the article onto the belt conveyor.
Delivery Package Loading Structure and Method in Cargo Container
A delivery package loading structure in a cargo container includes a carrier tray configured to move package along a longitudinal direction of the cargo container, a mounting section located on both lateral sides of the carrier tray and configured to hold the package thereon in a height direction of the cargo container, and a control unit configured to, based on destination information or delivery order of the package, set a longitudinal movement of the package by the carrier tray, drive the carrier tray to transfer the package to the mounting section, and determine a height position of the package to be loaded into the mounting section.
End effector for engaging the flexible packaging materials of parcels
An end effector for engaging flexible packaging materials includes a frame, along with a first and second wheel mounted for rotation with respect to the frame. The first wheel and the second wheel are mounted to the frame relative to each other so that the outer surfaces of the two wheels are positioned opposite of each other. The first wheel and the second wheel can be driven in opposing directions to effectively define a roller intake which can be used to draw the flexible packaging materials of a target parcel between the first wheel and the second wheel. The end effector of the present invention can be combined with a robot to provide an improved system for engaging the flexible packaging materials of a parcel.
Double sided automated parcel terminal
An automated parcel terminal having one or more entry and retrieval points is disclosed. The terminal has a lift cage and a loader that allows moving specifically designed trays to and from shelf columns on two sides of the lift cage. The lift and loader assembly allows the loader to serve multiple shelf columns in the terminal. The loader has a back cover configured to protect the users from moving parts of the terminal, but also to support trays in a shelf column while the loader pulls one tray out from the shelf column.
PACKAGE HANDLING AND SORTING SYSTEM
A package sort cell includes a robot with an end of arm tool for transporting packages from an in-feed conveyor to a selected one of a plurality of out-feed conveyors or bins, the robot receiving instruction from the package reader as to which of the plurality of conveyors or bins to hand-off the package. An end of arm tool may be in the configuration of a conveyor which may be aligned with the out-feed conveyor on a bottom up movement. The end of arm tool may also be in the configuration of a hanging carriage frame suspending a conveyor in a top down movement. A worker platform may be provided which may be movable between in-use and out-of-use positions whereby upon robot downtime, the platform may move into the in-use position for a worker to temporarily takeover the transfer functions of the robot. A plurality of sort cells may be arranged in side by side relation adjacent a like plurality of package delivery points (e.g., truck bays) and include diverter conveyors to allow diversion of a selected quantity of packages from one cell to an adjacent cell when the adjacent cell has no associated package delivery occurring at that time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING OBJECTS
A processing system is disclosed for processing objects. The processing system includes a perception system for providing perception data regarding an object, and a primary transport system for providing transport of the object along a primary direction toward a processing location that is identified based on the perception data.
SEQUENCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A sequencing system and a robotic storage and picking system include a plurality of containers disposed in stacks beneath a grid having a first set of tracks and second set of tracks, the first and second sets of tracks being disposed substantially perpendicular to each other. Plural load handling devices are operable on the grid, the load handling devices lifting and depositing containers from and to the stacks. The load handling devices can deposit containers on to conveyor belts into predetermined positions, the positions being fillable in any random order and multiple positions being fillable at any one time.
Singularizing unloader and method for unloading and singularizing packages provided in a container
A singularizing unloader for unloading and singularizing packages provided in a container, having a pivoting installation for pivoting the container from a vertical receiving alignment for receiving the container to a horizontal emptying alignment for emptying the container, and having a holding installation for holding the container on the pivoting installation during the pivoting of the pivoting installation. A belt conveyor device for conveying the packages is connected to the pivoting installation in such a manner that the belt conveyor device by the pivoting of the pivoting installation from the receiving alignment to the emptying alignment is adjustable from a predominantly vertical initial position to a predominantly horizontal unloading position.
Sequencing systems and methods
A sequencing system and a robotic storage and picking system include a plurality of containers disposed in stacks beneath a grid having a first set of tracks and second set of tracks, the first and second sets of tracks being disposed substantially perpendicular to each other. Plural load handling devices are operable on the grid, the load handling devices lifting and depositing containers from and to the stacks. The load handling devices can deposit containers on to conveyor belts into predetermined positions, the positions being fillable in any random order and multiple positions being fillable at any one time.
Mechanically locking diverter
A mechanically locking diverter utilizes a rotational actuator to translate a pin, thereby moving a diverter flipper between a divert position and a non-divert position. The diverter flipper moves a roller attached to a pin attached to a shoe that translates along a slat. A divert rail system for an automated sortation machine has a generally longitudinal main rail, a plurality of generally transverse slats, a plurality of shoes, each shoe being configured to travel along a corresponding slat, each slat terminating in a side wall, the divert rail system including a plurality of divert rails branching off from the main rail, each divert rail forming an angle of about 21 degrees or more with the main rail and terminating at and end, such that the divert rail does not curve back toward the longitudinal direction, wherein the length of each divert rail is selected, such that the each shoe travels transversely past the end of the divert rail and stops at a transverse stopping position that is at least 1.5 inches away from the side wall of the slat.
