System and method for managing migration of road barriers
A road barrier transfer machine includes an improved capstan control system that reduces unwanted migration of road barrier spans without requiring inaccurate visual observations and reliance on outdated scripts. The barrier transfer machine includes a moveable chassis, an entry snout, an exit snout, a conveyor system, a capstan system, and the capstan control system. The capstan control system automatically operates the capstan system or provides instructions to an operator of the machine to maintain the tension and compression of a road barrier span within desired ranges to reduce unwanted migration of the span.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR PERFORMING ARTICLE SINGULATION
Methods and apparatuses for performing article singulation are provided. An article singulator can include an intake conveyor, an out-take conveyor, and multiple intermediate conveyors. The intake conveyor can receive multiple articles and convey the articles to the multiple intermediate conveyors. Further, the out-take conveyor may convey singulated articles from amongst the multiple articles (e.g. to an outfeed). Further, the multiple intermediate conveyors may include successive conveyors to convey the articles and provide the singulated articles to the out-take conveyor. In some examples, each successive conveyor of the multiple intermediate conveyors may be positioned at a lower level than a preceding conveyor. Further, each successive conveyor can convey the articles in a different direction and at a different speed than a preceding conveyor such that the articles are singulated upon conveyance by the article singulator.
SUBSTRATE TRANSFER APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to a substrate transfer apparatus. The substrate transfer apparatus includes a first transfer apparatus, a second transfer apparatus, a substrate carrier driver, a sensor, a swing apparatus, and a controller. The first transfer apparatus is configured to transfer a substrate in a first direction. The second transfer apparatus is configured to receive the substrate from the first transfer apparatus and transfer the substrate and comprising a substrate carrier on which the substrate transferred from the first transfer apparatus is seated. The substrate carrier driver is configured to move the substrate carrier. The sensor is configured to detect an abnormal transfer of the substrate from the first transfer apparatus to the second transfer apparatus and generate a detection signal corresponding to the abnormal transfer of the substrate. The swing apparatus is configured to swing the substrate carrier. The controller is connected to the sensor and the swing apparatus and configured to control the swing apparatus based on the detection signal of the sensor.
METHOD FOR POSITIONING HEAT-SCREENING RAMPS IN A PREFORM HEATING STATION
The invention proposes a method for positioning protective screening ramps of a station for heating preforms, on the occasion of a change of format, the heating station comprising:—members for transporting preforms;—at least one pair of parallel longitudinal screening ramps for protecting necks against heat, which ramps are parted in order to leave a slot through which the preforms progress;—a motorized device for moving the ramps transversely. The method includes a preliminary calibration step which consists in arranging at least two calibration elements between the two protective screening ramps occupying an initial position, and manually causing the protective screening ramps to move into a calibrated position in which they are each in simultaneous contact with the two calibration elements.
