DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING VALUE DOCUMENTS, IN PARTICULAR BANKNOTES, AND VALUE DOCUMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM
A device for separating value documents, in particular banknotes, includes a receiving device which is designed to receive a stack of value documents, a rotatable separating element which is designed to act temporarily on in each case one value document of the stack and to withdraw the same from the stack, and a drive device which is designed to set the separating element into rotation, and a control device which is designed to control the drive device such that the rotational speed of the rotation, into which the separating element is set by the drive device, is changed, in particular temporarily, during each revolution of the separating element. A method corresponds to the device and to a value document processing system comprising such a device
APPARATUS TO SELECT-INTRODUCE PRINTED OR BLANK SHEETS AND CORRESPONDING METHOD
An apparatus to select-introduce blank sheets and/or printed materials and corresponding method, comprising a positioning seating, a selector unit and an introduction unit suitable to select and introduce sheets in sequence according to the format and basic weight, maintaining high cadences and at the same time reducing the causes of blockages of the sheets in the apparatus.

Pharmaceutical filling system
A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a paper feed device and method. The system may include a paper collator with at one selectively openable shelf. A control device may monitor the capacity of the selectively openable shelf, and instruct a printer to hold printing additional print jobs. The selectively openable shelf may then be opened to allow the printed literature resting thereon to fall to a lower shelf, and the printer can then be restarted. Sheets of printed literature may be drawn from the paper collator, collected with any other sheets of printed literature associated with a prescription order, and mated with the prescription order for shipment.
Sheet conveying apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a supporter having a support surface configured to support sheets; a supplier having a conveying surface exposed from the support surface and moved to supply one or more sheets; a separator including a separating roller and a retard roller located downstream of the supplier; and an inclined surface disposed upstream of the nip position and pivotable about a pivot axis. The inclined surface has a first end portion and a second end portion, and the second end portion is located downstream of the first end portion. The inclined surface is inclined such that the second end portion is nearer to the support surface than the first end portion. The first end portion is located upstream of a downstream end portion of the conveying surface. The second end portion is spaced apart from the conveying surface.

SHEET STORAGE DEVICE AND SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS
A sheet storage device includes: an accommodation unit that accommodates a sheet in a manner stacking on a certain surface; a sheet sliding unit that is positioned on a first end side of a sheet accommodated in the accommodation unit and sequentially slides a sheet from a sheet positioned in a lowermost layer; and a supporting unit that is positioned on a second end side opposite to the first end side of a sheet accommodated in the accommodation unit and supports an area around the second end of the sheet in a manner separating from the certain surface by being pressed by a weight of the sheet and an own weight.

Medium feeding apparatus, image reading apparatus, and medium feeding method
A medium feeding apparatus includes a medium mounting section forming a mounting face for mounting a medium thereon, a feeding roller configured to feed a lowermost medium among mediums mounted on the medium mounting section in a feeding direction, and a movement detection unit configured to output information related to movement of the medium in a direction along the mounting face, wherein based on detection information detected by a medium height detection unit that outputs information related to a height of the medium mounted on the mounting section from the mounting face in abnormality detection processing, when the height is less than a first threshold value, a control unit continues feeding the medium regardless of detection information detected by the movement detection unit or without obtaining detection information detected by the movement detection unit.
