A sheet feeding device includes a document mounting board, in which a downstream end of the document mounting board in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism is connected to a scanner body so as to be rotatable about a first turning shaft parallel to a rotation shaft of a pickup roller, the first turning shaft is located downstream from the feed mechanism in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism, a mounting surface of the document mounting board on which the documents are mounted is located above the pickup roller when the documents are mounted on the document mounting board, and the document mounting board turns about the first turning shaft such that the mounting surface moves downward and the mounting surface moves downward from a contact portion of the pickup roller with the document when the documents mounted on the document mounting board are fed.

In order to improve the ability to feed paper currency from a deposit unit and to reduce the height of the device, this paper currency handling device (100) has a paper currency recognition unit (170) and a paper currency storage unit (200) (which does not include a deposit unit (120) and a withdrawal unit (140)) accommodated within a chassis section (112) of a vault (110), so that deposited paper currency is transported to the paper currency storage unit (200) and withdrawn paper currency is transported from the paper currency storage unit (200) as the paper currency passes through the chassis section (112). A card feeding apparatus realizes random and selective feeding of cards of different types or kinds. This apparatus includes a card supplying device, a card holding and feeding device, and a controller. The card holding and feeding device includes a table set having tables on which cards from the card supplying device are held, a table set supporting structure (e.g., a frame), a table set moving device (e.g., a lifting mechanism), and a card conveying device that conveys cards held on the tables. In response to a card feeding signal, the table set supporting structure is temporarily stopped using the table set moving device such that a target table designated from the tables by the said signal is located at the card conveying position, and the card holding and feeding device is activated, thereby feeding a card on the target table by the card conveying device.

A conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance device including a sheet-bearing member having a curved sheet-bearing surface, the conveyance device conveying a sheet by bearing the sheet with the curved sheet-bearing surface of the sheet-bearing member, and a blower to blow air onto the sheet. The carved sheet-bearing surface of the sheet-bearing member is formed by a plurality of wires defining gaps through which the blower blows air.

In a sheet feeding device, a document mounting board includes a first member that includes a first mounting surface and is located on the feed mechanism side in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism, the first mounting surface being inclined to a lower side toward the feed mechanism, and a second member that includes a second mounting surface on which the documents are mounted and is disposed on a side opposite to the side of the first member on which the feed mechanism is located, and the second member is connected to the first member to be rotatable about a second turning shaft and turns about the second turning shaft depending on the weight of the documents detected by the weight sensor to change an angle with respect to the first member.

In a sheet feeding device, a document mounting board includes a first member that includes a first mounting surface and is located on the feed mechanism side in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism, the first mounting surface being inclined to a lower side toward the feed mechanism, and a second member that includes a second mounting surface on which the documents are mounted and is disposed on a side opposite to the side of the first member on which the feed mechanism is located, and the second member is connected to the first member to be rotatable about a second turning shaft and turns about the second turning shaft depending on the weight of the documents detected by the weight sensor to change an angle with respect to the first member.

Provided in a paper sheet feeding apparatus and a box making machine are: a plurality of wheels capable of supplying a sheet by coming into contact with a lower surface of the sheet; a grate liftable and lowerable to an ascending position positioned above upper edges of the plurality of wheels and a descending position positioned below the upper edges of the plurality of wheels; a drive motor; an elevating device capable of lifting the grate to the ascending position by rotating the drive motor in one direction and capable of lowering the grate to the descending position by rotating the drive motor in the other direction; and a control device capable of adjusting an amount by which the grate is lifted and lowered by the elevating device by controlling the drive motor.

Provided in a paper sheet feeding apparatus and a box making machine are: a plurality of wheels capable of supplying a sheet by coming into contact with a lower surface of the sheet; a grate liftable and lowerable to an ascending position positioned above upper edges of the plurality of wheels and a descending position positioned below the upper edges of the plurality of wheels; a drive motor; an elevating device capable of lifting the grate to the ascending position by rotating the drive motor in one direction and capable of lowering the grate to the descending position by rotating the drive motor in the other direction; and a control device capable of adjusting an amount by which the grate is lifted and lowered by the elevating device by controlling the drive motor.

A paper case includes a paper ejection opening, side walls, and a front wall. When the paper case is mounted on a paper stand, the paper ejection opening is positioned at a front end facing a downstream side. In addition, the side walls are positioned on a first side and a second side in a direction intersecting a transport route and each have a height relative to the paper stand greater than a height of the paper feed opening relative to the paper stand. Furthermore, the front wall continues from the front end and slopes so that a height of the front wall relative to the paper stand increases toward an upstream side of the transport route.
