A sheet feeding device includes a storage, a discharger, an angle adjuster, and an urging body. The storage stores a sheet bundle. The discharger contacts and discharge an uppermost sheet of the sheet bundle from the storage in a sheet conveying direction in which the uppermost sheet is conveyed. The angle adjuster changes an angle according to a remaining amount of the sheet bundle in the storage. The urging body urges a trailing end of the uppermost sheet in the sheet conveying direction toward the discharger in stages according to the remaining amount.

A sheet feeding device includes a storage, a discharger, an angle adjuster, and an urging body. The storage stores a sheet bundle. The discharger contacts and discharge an uppermost sheet of the sheet bundle from the storage in a sheet conveying direction in which the uppermost sheet is conveyed. The angle adjuster changes an angle according to a remaining amount of the sheet bundle in the storage. The urging body urges a trailing end of the uppermost sheet in the sheet conveying direction toward the discharger in stages according to the remaining amount.

A paper sheet processing device includes: an ejection roller for ejecting a paper sheet; and a bill press for pressing the paper sheet against the ejection roller, wherein the bill press has: a bill press main body that moves in a direction to approach and separate from the ejection roller; a pressing portion that is provided on the ejection roller side of the bill press main body and moves in a direction to approach and separate from the bill press main body; and an elastic portion provided between the pressing portion and the bill press main body.
SHEET SUPPLYING APPARATUS
A sheet supplying apparatus includes a supplying roller, a supply tray, and a lifting/lowering member having a protrusion. The pressure plate includes a pressure plate body and a contact member supported by the pressure plate body so as to be movable between a first position and a second position. The contact member is pushed up and lowered with the pressure plate body while being in contact with the protrusion at the first position in a state in which the protrusion is placed below the pressure plate body. The contact member moves to the second position at which the contact member is escaped from the lifting/lowering member when the protrusion moves from a position higher than the pressure plate toward a position lower than the pressure plate. The contact member moves to the first position when the lifting/lowering member moves to the position lower than the pressure plate.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, an openable/closable part, a sheet feeding tray, an image forming device, a sheet feeding roller, a first coupling, a drive gear, a second coupling, a biasing member, and a link mechanism. The first coupling is provided in the sheet feeding roller. The second coupling is provided coaxially with the drive gear, rotatable following the drive gear, slidable relative to the drive gear in an axial direction and capable of fitting to the first coupling. The biasing member biases the second coupling to the first coupling to connect the second coupling to the first coupling. The link mechanism disconnects the second coupling from the first coupling against a biasing force of the biasing member so as to block a transmission of the drive force with an opening of the openable/closable part.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, an openable/closable part, a sheet feeding tray, an image forming device, a sheet feeding roller, a first coupling, a drive gear, a second coupling, a biasing member, and a link mechanism. The first coupling is provided in the sheet feeding roller. The second coupling is provided coaxially with the drive gear, rotatable following the drive gear, slidable relative to the drive gear in an axial direction and capable of fitting to the first coupling. The biasing member biases the second coupling to the first coupling to connect the second coupling to the first coupling. The link mechanism disconnects the second coupling from the first coupling against a biasing force of the biasing member so as to block a transmission of the drive force with an opening of the openable/closable part.
DOCUMENT SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING LARGE CAPACITY OF SHEET FEED TRAY
A document sheet conveying device includes a sheet feed tray lift mechanism, a top plate portion, a fixed wall portion, and a lifted wall portion. The sheet feed tray lift mechanism lifts up and down a sheet feed tray. The top plate portion is adjacent to the sheet feed tray at a downstream side, in a sheet feed direction, of the sheet feed tray, and is contacted by a lower surface of a document sheet having been fed. The fixed wall portion is provided to extend downward from an upstream end, in the sheet feed direction, of the top plate portion, and the position of the fixed wall portion is fixed. The lifted wall portion extends upward from a downstream end of the sheet feed tray in the sheet feed direction and is lifted up and down along the fixed wall portion together with the sheet feed tray.

A document sheet conveying device includes a sheet feed tray lift mechanism, a top plate portion, a fixed wall portion, and a lifted wall portion. The top plate portion is adjacent to the sheet feed tray at a downstream side, in a sheet feed direction, of the sheet feed tray, and is contacted by a lower surface of a document sheet having been fed. The fixed wall portion is provided to extend downward from an upstream end, in the sheet feed direction, of the top plate portion, and the position of the fixed wall portion is fixed. The lifted wall portion extends upward from a downstream end of the sheet feed tray in the sheet feed direction and is lifted up and down along the fixed wall portion together with the sheet feed tray.
