An image recording apparatus including a first tray having a first holding portion for holding sheets, a second tray disposed above the first tray and including a second holding portion for holding sheets, a sheet feeder that selectively feeds a sheet from one of the first tray and the second tray in a sheet feed direction, a recording unit that records an image on the sheet fed by the sheet feeder, and a discharge roller that discharges the sheet on which the image is recorded by the recording unit. The second holding portion of the second tray moves above the first holding portion of the first tray. The second tray further includes a discharged sheet receiving portion for receiving the sheet discharged by the discharge roller. The second tray including the discharged sheet receiving portion pivots relative to the first tray.

Subsequently, subsequent sheet products 1 are moved back by the feeding conveyor 3 to be separated from the first sheet product 1. Subsequently, the first sheet product 1 is supplied by the additional conveyor 2.

A paper feeding device of an embodiment includes a paper feed tray, a blower, and a flow regulating member. A paper bundle in which a plurality of sheets of paper are stacked can be placed on the paper feed tray. The blower is positioned next to the paper bundle placed on the paper feed tray. The blower can generate airflow. The flow regulating member is positioned above the paper bundle placed on the paper feed tray. The airflow from the blower causes the flow regulating member to generate a negative pressure between the flow regulating member and the uppermost sheet of paper of the paper bundle.

A first sheet product 1 is gripped between an additional conveyor 2 and a feeding conveyor 3 at a downstream end of the additional conveyor 2. Subsequently, subsequent sheet products 1 are moved back by the feeding conveyor 3 to he separated from the first sheet product 1. Subsequently, the first sheet product 1 is supplied by the additional conveyor 2.

In a sheet stacking device, a first sheet storage portion and a second sheet storage portion are arranged in alignment in a width direction of a housing, and supported by the housing so as to move in a front-rear direction perpendicular to the width direction. Biasing members are respectively provided on opposite side surfaces of the first and second sheet storage portions, the opposite side surfaces being adjacent and face each other in the width direction. In a first state where the first and second sheet storage portions are moved frontward from the housing, the biasing members abut on each other and bias the first and second sheet storage portions in directions in which the first and second sheet storage portions separate from each other along the width direction.

The system is the combination of an envelope feeder and a laser printer, with some additional control mechanisms. An envelope conveyor system is positioned adjacent to a media input slot on a laser printer and envelopes are fed into a pickup assembly positioned within the media input slot in a controlled manner. By controlling the conveyor speed, a stack of envelopes having a limited and known number of envelopes is accumulated within the pickup assembly such that the pickup roller in the assembly can feed envelopes into the printer at a rate equal to or greater than the speed at which the printer can apply an image to each envelope. A control circuit provides a feedback signal to the conveyor to control conveyor motor actuation. The result is a smaller, less expensive and simpler feed system for an envelope printer.
